Just wondering how often you guys tell your g/f that you miss her etc... and how often she says the same to you. How do you keep the romantic thing going and avoid her getting too comfortable? |

I almost never say "I miss you". Usually it's only after I'm together with her again do I say "I missed you", and it's usually only an "intimate" thing such as when we're in each others arms or we're being close. If I do say it other times, it's usually after not seeing her for a while...like weeks. In my experience, girls say it all the time. In response, I say something...I guess you could say jerky...like "I know", "Well, I *am* a missable person", "That's understandable" (these responses are all about the tone you say it in). Most of the time she'll make some disapproving noise or something, but I find if I don't apologize or otherwise make excuses for my response, she'll take it in stride. If I'm feeling serious I talk about the next time we're going to see each other. Thinking back on it, I very rarely say "I miss you, too". |

the problem isn't so much about telling your girlfriend that you miss her. the problem is about being in a situation where you are always left missing your girlfriend. what i mean is: if everyday, you are missing your girlfriend, well, then you have no life. lol. the cure to not having to tell your girlfriend that you miss her isn't to "not say it", it's to get a life and "not feel it". and as always, in the words of snoop dogg "we doan luv dem hoes" |

I say it when I mean it and considering I've got under a month and a half before I leave Afghanistan, I've told her everytime I talk to her. |

Say it in person only, and say it not with words. A look, a smile, a hug write better poems.

i agree with the above, you will be amazed at how effective a poetic way of saying i miss or love you can be. make it different every time and saying the same thing will never get old. |
