Hello all. I am the kind of guy that gets bored in a relationship easily, and so is my girlfriend. I love her, and so does she, and I want to keep her. And no matter what, we'll have to innovate. I was reading a phrase that goes like "To have something you've never had, you have to do something you've never done" ... So with this in mind, I was thinking, sometimes we have to get out of our comfort zone, and experience new experiences (duh?) ... sure, going to clubs is fun, going to the movies is "classic", going for dinner is almost a must, movie nights, etc... but assuming you're in your 20's to mid 20's ... a 25 year old attractive girl has probably had all this.. Gone to the movies, being invited to dinner, movie night at the boyfriends house etc... You want to make a difference... do something that is different and that she doesn't expect it at all. Here are some examples I have done with my girlfriend. I've known her since 1st semester of college, we're in 3rd now, just started dating a while ago. She's 25 and I'm 19 (20 in 2 months) ... Why is she with me, and not with someone that can give her more material pleassures? She's dated 30 year old guys ... and she had a rule to not date anyone more than 5 years younger than her. Needless to say I've been the exception: I told her one day, that I had a surprise for her, that if we could see each other at X Mall at 6:00 PM. I got a proyector, those that connect to the laptop, and prepared a "cinema" at my backyard, with a blanket on the grass, and another on the wall. I downloaded her favorite movie, and had it ready to be projected. I got her to the car and told her we we're going to my home, and put a blindfold on her. So when we got home I actually had her sit down, and just pressed play, she liked the idea, and when she saw it was her favorite movie she just went on me. I took her horseback riding to a pond, and had a picnic there. When we reached our first month as a couple, I got to school early, and put a red rose on her place, with a note saying her name only, I knew she would know it was me, since we both write the letter "a" in the same way. When I left the rose, I went to buy something to eat, just to make up for time while she got there... then when I got to school, she was talking to our friend and she saw me enter and she ran to hug me and said "I thought you were gonna forget!" So, lets share some ideas here. What have you done... what would you like to do?? |

Bear in mind some of these might have a price tag associated with it, but I'm just brainstorming some of my ideas that I like to do: - Flying lessons (expensive but an intro lesson is amazingly fun) - Drop in dance lesson - Drop in improv class (you can likely find free ones) - Cooking class - Go to a museum / art gallery / art show - Do a wine tour - Pic nic in your house in the winter - Day-trip to the beach - Storytellers (I once went to this intimate get-together downtown where the room was candle-lit and a bunch of people would get up in front of others and tell humourous short stories and anecdotes. Anyone could jump in and tell a story. Lots of fun. Can't remember the name of it but maybe something similar near you) - Drive in movie (Classic for making out - use protection =P) - Comedy club (go watch some stand-up comedy gigs) - Go watch a play / symphony The list goes on and on. Like I said some of these have a price tag; if you're a student you may want to find other things that you can do; Universities have millions of social events just grab your partner and go. Hope you enjoy! Q. |

This isn't for a first date, but more for something to spice it up for after you've been together a while. Go streaking! |

| Post subject: | The Barnes and Noble Game - cheap but cool |
This will only cost you the price of a cup of coffee. Go to Barnes and Nobel or your local bookstore, give each other 30 minutes to find a book/magazine on any subject - read it and then report back to each other in the coffee shop area what you read about. Remember to act really interested in what she discovered. |

So, lets share some ideas here. What have you done... what would you like to do?? you open a very good topic !! you touched something very important. if you guys want to have a good and longer relationship it's very important do cool and various things....your girlfriend won't be bored and there will be also less possibility to cheat on you. this topic have to be much bigger....we must find more things to do. i try to add something: 1)hang out with friends or other couple (i know it sounds stupid but many people don't give enough important to this. even if they do cool and various things they are always just with the girlfriend. it's important to hang out with many people....sometimes even if you aren't doing anything special it's cool to be with others...you can have fun without spending money.) 2) go to the spa....relax...touching her in the water....will create suspance and you will have great sex after that. once i payed for a room with sauna and turkhish bath....we were alone and we had sex inside....was cool 3) prepare some food at home....go in the countryside and have a pick-nick is cool also if you do in the wood....prepare a blanket and find an isolated place...i let you immagine what you can do there. |

Quote: HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE..
I'm actually planning a weekend out, in about 3 months to go for a hot air ballon ride ... Its something she has never done, neither have I! Also .. something very simple... yet effective.. Don't do the same every weekend ... Check the newspaper for events, cultural events, that you can share opinions... My girlfriend has never gone to the opera, so this weekend I'm taking her to the opera, and stealing her opera virginity... Check the newspaper for events, there are ALWAYS events ... get connected with artists, get invited to the shows. Take her home once in a while, don't make it an every weekend routine. Be spontaneous.. Yesterday I was driving her to her home, and I saw the pizza store, and I parked and was like, lets get some pizza and we took it home and ate it. |
