So, I've been dating this girl for about 1.5+ years and I've worked hard to keep her interested in me. I did everything right until recently when I made the huge mistake of being clingy. This put her off and she decided that we needed a "break", so this means she's likely to break up with me. Now I have to reverse this, since I actually do love her. I need her to see me as how I was before to get her crawling back to me. The obvious solution is to give her the impression I don't need her. I need a plan. I haven't really talked to her since her decision. So how should I go about doing this? |

The simple basic way of solving this is to be just plain cold to her. The next time she calls you, answer it and be like hold on I'll call you in about 15 minutes or so. If she asks why, just reply that you have to finish something. DONT call her back, or even for the rest of that day for that matter. Wait until she contacts you again, and then you answer... saying oh sorry I've just been extremely busy these days etc etc... and carry out the conversation normally, asking how was your day etc etc. Be the first to end the conversation a.s.a.p and keep up the distant image. This should gain a good sense of attraction and you can decide what to do from there. |

I agree with the above but I'd just go more extreme. Id freeze her out. A break is a hallmark meaning she wants to make sure she doesnt make a mistake by dumping you. She wants to keep u in reserve while she entertains her options. Do not answer calls at all for like 3 weeks. Ignore calls/texts etc. Cut her off from facebook etc. If you do talk to her, act happy but busy or pre-occupied - get off the phone quick. Be sure to mention if anything, big changes in your life that sound exciting. Like you are a different person and having a great time. (It helps to do this for real. Ive never had to lie about this) I know it's dangerous but it has worked for me twice. They come crawling right back. Although by the time they want me back, I have already moved on. And that leads into my last point - you might think this girl is the greatest right now and you cant live without her but a little time away, can add perspective and you might just realize she is not as special as you thought. |
