I found out my gf misses the banter and flirting and laddishness in our relationship - we've been together for a year and I've totally forgotten how to even flirt or be banterous in a relationship - any advice one keepthing things fresh?? |

Mate i had exactly the same thing and is why i lost my gf. What you have to do is try to look at her as a mate, treat her like one. Talk to her as you do your mates. Be open with her. My relationship ended because i lost all that banter that went on when we were first going out. After it ended i looked at what went wrong, when i first started to notice a change in her behaviour, and im afraid to say it was roughly the time i started being "too nice". We didn't go out quite as much which i think is a big thing, we ended up staying in most nights and the moment a girl thinks your are changing and perhaps even getting a bit boring, she will run a mile. Your girl (and most) was attracted to you when she first met you. She found your attributes and lifestyle appealing. Try to look back on some of the things you did/said together when your relationship was fresh, and then simply try to bring them back. Im absolutley gutted i lost my gf over this as i kicked myself because i knew all this yet i followed emotion rather than reason and logic. Try going shopping together, go out clubbing together, socialize. BUT most importantly, make sure she doesnt think your changing in who your are. Hope this helps. |

Yeah that does help cheers. I had a look through some past conversations and realised how much the banter has changed - how gay. We're at uni together so we're currently apart and can only meet up a few times per holiday. Any tips for LDR banter? |

Well im not sure as to how you chat to her already. I can tell you how id chat to most of my gf's when im playing. Add comments like "loser" - IE - "what u up to looser?  "Just keep it relaxed. The moment you start talking formally to her the quicker your going to slip into that mode. Just treat her like a mate, talk to her as u do your mates. Not too sure what else to say!
