Heres the rundown: From September to early January I was spending a lot of time with this girl. We were "friends with benefits" but when i told her how i felt about her (loved her) we just stopped talking to eachother. Sunday night I got completley tanked and decided it was a good idea to text her of course my friends encouraged me even though they knew i wouldnt do it if i was sober. We texted each other for a few hours until around 4 in the morning. We talked about random bs, nothing about us. I have not talked to her since then. I would very much like to get her back...but i dont want to seem desperate. What should i think of this? What would you think of it? Should I act on it in any way? Any advice is appreciated. |

Oh you will be in touch with her one way or another, mate. It's bound to happen especially if you two live in the same town or whatever. And when that happens, let her know directly or indirectly that you have a life and are happy outside her. Embark on new projects. Introduce yourself to new things. Go foraging. Go hunting. Whatever... just let her know she is not the center of your universe unless you issue an invitation. In the event that she warms up to you again, just let her know you do NOT expect her to warm up to your offer, but that you very much meant it with the utmost sincerity. At the same time, let her know her own happiness is also important to and therefore you would accept her reaction to your offer, whatever it may be, and in the event that it's "No", YOU be the one to suggest not seeing her or have sexual relations with her afterwards. Tichondrius thanks for the advice. I think i am going to continue talking with her and see where it goes, while maintaining a level head. Ive come to realise that if we get back together, great, but it will be on my terms. And if we dont, whatever, her loss. |
