Times are tough, and I'm on a budget, but it's her first birthday with me and I'd like to get her something special. I've never been good with gifts. Any good ideas? Thanks!

Maybe I'm talking out of my ass here, since I haven't been in a relationship for uhhh.. 8 years, but my theory about gifts goes something like this:

Don't buy her one big thing, buy her a few small gifts (a teddy bear, a small (cheap) necklace etc) and write her a card (Make it yourself, don't buy one!!)
All items should have somewhat of a personal touch to them.

Then hide the card under her pillow (so that she finds it when she goes to sleep), hide the gifts around her place / in her locker / wherever (Just make sure they are places where she will find them!).

This may sound sappy, romantic and AFC, but I'm sure she'll appreciate it :)

"Get her a casket." jk (talldega) Depends on how serious you guys are, we talking 1 month, or 10 months? One month, some thing simple like the above. 10 months, more serious, maybe a short trip somewhere. Get creative, but keep it simple. Short and sweet. You wanna not over do it, but not under do it too. (no shit right?) All i got :T

Pod, under the assumption you've been together long enough for an "extravegant" birthday. This is the PERFECT time, to show her you can be the ROMANTIC boyfriend she dreamed about.

Fedster was on to something with the card in bed. I suggest improving that and having the Teddy bear holding the card when she wakes up.

Breakfast in bed is always CHEAP and killer.

Go out and do something she finds fun, then go to dinner. At dinner give her the jewelry you bought her.

Take her back home and give her 1000000orgasms.

I have an idea...
This, of course, depends on how well you know her, but if you know something she'd like to try (in bed?) help her realize that fantasy.

Or do this romantic stuff with a night in, candles (cheap) and some nice food (can be done cheaply) and if your budget allows a bottle of champagne.


Give her a bath (if you have a tub)
and be really sensual about it.

Massages don't cost anything, if you have some oil.
(if you don't, stuff like almond/walnut oil, grapeseed oil and avacado oil are good, and if you add a little lavender it gets even more relaxing.)


But basically, you can go for all these sensual things that every (?) woman dreams about, and it won't cost you much, if anything at all.


Breakfast on the bed is a winner.. ;)



(Let her know you are focusing on her the entire day (that means don't focus on your own pleasure, but hers), you don't need to say it explicitly, you can let her find out through experience...)

I guess I had forgot to mention that we've only been together for two months, so I wasn't thinking of doing something extravagent.. just something simple with meaning.

i think the best thing to do is get her a gift that shows you know her well and have an emotional connection with her.
