Alright, so my girlfriend (HB10)of only a few days now (lmao stfu) has an ex boyfriend who's in the NBA. They just broke up last year, but remained friends. I'm jealous as fuck actually, because even though I'm a promising prospect and I'm sure my day in the majors will come eventually, my baseball career is clearly nothing like his basketball career yet. Well anyway, he's gonna be in town in a few days, and she was gonna hang out with him, but I told her no. Tbh, I'm just insecure as hell because I'm scared she likes him more than me (even though I'm better than him in every way except our athletic careers). Was I being childish to tell her that she couldn't hang out with him, or was it appropriate? Let me know how you think I should've handled it, and how I should consider to handle it going forward. Thanks so much.
And no, I won't reveal her, her ex's, or my identity to you guys. Sorry hahahaha

Did anyone ask you to reveal anything? Also thanks for letting us know she's an hb10, that's very helpful information. Seems to me you're a pretty surface level dude. Because you believe your career is the defining aspect of your value.

I'm sorry but I gotta say this... These are conversations that shouldn't even be had. A girl who is on the same page as you, will tell you 2 days into the relationship "my ex and I were friends, but when you and I became official I don't want to complicate that so I'm not talking to him like that anymore." Done. You guys are picking women who have vastly different ideas of what's appropriate in a relationship.. Then having to explain something to someone that didn't agree with your view in the first place. These are conversations that should not be taking place. Screen well in the beginning. Solves all this unnecessary complicating shit. And yeah what rc said. Why are yall dating girls who you think would like someone more due to their career or who you think like someone more than you?

Not out of insecurity, but off of the principle that going out with the guy is not conducive for the progression of our relationship. And ex boyfriend is almost always going to flirt and shoot his shot; why put yourself in an unnecessary position that could potential have a negative impact on our relationship. But even though, then women I tend to choose are not women I even have to have these conversations with. They already get it. P.S. stop deleting post. They can help others.
