Hey guys,

I am always wondering if I should by a gift to girl I am dating during christmas and if yes, what should I buy.

Here are options:
1) I am with girl just few days or feeks, no serious feelings started
2) I am with girl few months, its getting serious
3) I am with girl for almost a year and this will be first gift
4) I am with girl more than one year

Right now I am dating girl, its probably getting serious and big chances I will be around during Christmas, so pretty much option 2

If you're serious with her. Of course. Why wouldn't you? Is this against PUA rules?

Answer is yes for all scenarios.

A gift can be a $5 trinket that has some sort of inside joke between the two of you attached to it. It'll bring a huge smile on her face and that's the point of it in the first place.

Or it can be a $200 pair of Nike AirMax's she's been drooling over for the past few months.

How much you're willing to spend depends on how much she deserves from you, I'm just trying to put into perspective that a gift doesn't have to be some grand gesture of seriousness.

Main point of my question is not if I should by gift, but WHAT. Any universal tips?

I have really troubles with that. I am always thinking about rings, necklaces and shit like that. Maybe some bikini. IDK. I bought my ex iPad some time ago, but right now its not so far to buy things like that.

Did you not read this? Buy something meaningful. Don't buy jewelry ffs. That's like the default lazy "I can't be bothered" gift.

Just listen to her. Go to the mall one weekend, have some food and fuck around shops. It's obvious to see what she'll be eyeing at as look as you pay the least amount of attention to her.

No. Look, you're dating a chick and it MAY be getting serious. And IF it gets serious, it MAY still serious in 3 months. Relax. Don't buy her anything or even think about buying something for late Dec in late september. This is the road to you being too serious=needy. Continue to date, have fun. Rule 1, don't be more serious abt the girl than she is about you. And I can guarantee she isnt on a female forum thinking about what to get the guy or one of the guys she is dating for Xmas. When Dec comes around, if you're still seeing her, get her something she DESERVES. As RC said buy something personal, doesnt have to be expensive. But dear god dont go planning on what to buy a chick you're dating for Xmas in september.

Ps...this is the chick who you only first banged a couple weeks ago? No......

Did I write its some specific girl? No... But yeah, I am dating that girl and things are going slowly to serious waters. But who knows how it will be. Anyway, I had this problem in past and I will have in future. I am not good in buying gifts, so I would like to know, what you guys are buying for Xmas and Bday in mentioned scenarios. Cause no matter what girl will be on my side, I will date some girl during Xmas or during her Bday and I wanna buy cool gifts, which doesn't cost billion.

Anyways

There is no universal gift for a girl. Alot of it depends on the girl and the nature of the long term relationship/dating relationship. Like length of dating and the situation. For eg, a girl you've been dating for 2 months and see each other once a week on dates and occasional sex, may see a gift at Xmas as too serious and may not even be planning to give you gift herself. A girl who you've been dating for 2 months and she's cooking for you every week and sleeping over, may find it bad if you don't give her a gift. And what constitutes a good gift depends on the girl too. A certain girl may think concert tickets for her favorite band that you remembered is the greatest gift, another girl may think a bracelet is a better one. Some girls prefer things you make, some prefer things you buy or activities and trips. If a girl is really sweet and in to you, a big gift could work. If she's not really the sweet type or things are rocky, a big gift can backfire. I highly doubt anyone can give you a universal idea, at least unless more details are given. I can tell you a bracelet is a good gift, but if the chick you're dating is the selfish "shit test" playing chick that could be bad. If she's one of those just dating you so she wont be alone chicks, that could backfire. I've given movie tickets, bracelet, a Kindle, a $5 pair of sunglasses and other stuff. Just a simple rule, don't invest more into a gift than she will for you.

No you didn't write it's a specific girl --- however you did post it in the relationships subforum... Where you cam be banned for NOT writing about one specific girl.
