I've been with this girl in an open relationship for the past 8 months. I was previously dating online for a while.. since Jan this year, but I quit that a few days ago. Tbh.. I don't want anyone else right now. She wants us to be exclusive, and hasn't slept with anyone else but me since March... but I'm wondering what the benefits of being exclusive would be? I personally won't be gaming till Jan 2016 as I'm now focusing on work, focusing on my career and finances. Are there any benefits to being exclusive or should I just continue to maintain this as an open relationship? |

I disagree with the above posters. Depending on your age, experience in the game and out, they could be right. They also could be dead wrong. Sounds to me like you may not have a clue what it even means to be exclusive. Have you ever been in a relationship like that? If not, and you don't find yourself desiring anyone else more, then I'd say go for it. Especially since you have other things you want to focus on. Worst case scenario is that you decide that monogamy isn't for you, or doesn't work between you two. Far as benefits of being exclusive..... in general you have a default date if you are free to go out. And you can do things sexually with an exclusive girl that you wouldn't otherwise.... i.e. ditch condoms or other birth control forms you have control of for ones you trust her with.... IUD, the pill, etc. Sexually to me, that is a big plus. I hate condoms, just hate STDs and unplanned pregnancies even more....... |

It's up to you man. Everyone's goals are different, it helps knowing when shit hits the fan, you won't be a newbie to getting a new chick if this one doesn't meet the cut. Benefits of being exclusive vary from chick to chick. Go for it if you think it's worth your time. Worst thing is you breakup..but at least you'll gain some relationship experience in the long run |
