My gf broke up with me because her mom doesn't like me because of my race. We broke up a month ago and I think we ended on "okay" terms. Anyway we haven't spoken for 3 weeks. She lives in NYC and I live in Boston. So I went to NYC for a day this weekend (friday, saturday) and after I got back around 2am to my hotel, I walked into the elevator. She was there as well, with 2 guys (who she later said on the phone were her cousins). At first I didn't recognize her, because I was drunk. After I got off the elevator, I realized that it could be her. I called her and asked her where she is. She told me she is in the same hotel as me. Then I just yelled at her. I was like "Why the fck are you here/how's this even possible"etc. Then, she said "lets talk later" and hung up. It is now 2 days later and I haven't talked to her or apologized to her for yelling at her. I don't want to believe in fate, but what are the chances of bumping into your ex the one day you are in NYC, at the same exact time? I feel like I should call her, apologized, tell her that we are soulmates and should be together (but this is lame, I know). On the other hand, it feels like a deadend, because of the family issue. Any advice? I am so mindfcked by the coincidence of bumping into her. |

Don't lie to yourself. If this is the same girl who was texting and seeing her old fbuddy while you were long distance, she dumped you not because of her mom. Move on and forget this girl. |

Like the above poster said cut off contact. I personally think her reason is bullshit if I were dating a girl of another ethnicity, and my parents said I couldn't see her because of her race I'd say Mom Dad I love you, but this is my life, and the race of my gf is none of your business. If she is in fact telling the truth why would you want to date a girl that won't even stand up for you to her parents who are clearly stuck in the middle ages? Either way solution is the same for either situation is the same cut off contact move on. DO NOT re engage her if she contacts you then you decide how you want to proceed, but until then you need to be out meeting and dating as many new women as possible to get your confidence and swagger back, and practice your skills with women. Then if she does contact you you'll be coming from a place of abundance, and you likely won't want her then when you're projecting that energy she'll be the one chasing you. However for now walk away and meet new women. |

I agree with what someone posted, If she is into you she will not give a fuck about your race or what her parents think, believe me she will move a fucking mountain for you, One of the must racist people i know when it comes to interracial relationships are Hispanics with each other from different nationalities, And i have fucked a girl from pretty much every country in Latin America, So ya i think its just a bullshit excuse on her part. Don't blame yourself because of your race, Race has nothing to do with her parents not liking you. Don't mental masturbate with your head about all that fate thing you are just going to end up hurting yourself. |
