Hello all, I had previously posted this in the General Questions section because at the time I hadn't noticed that this section exists - I got some good advice there but would love to hear what y'all think as well. I'm 12 years happily married to a Latina HB9 (I'm an overweight, dorky, nerdy 41-year-old with no fashion sense - I joke with people that when they see us together they think, "He's either rich or he's wrapping it around his ankle!"). When we first got together we couldn't keep our clothes on, but as time went on the fire just gradually cooled. Of course we still do it but now it feels like letting off a little steam rather than filling the sky with loud fireworks. We're parents now and live extremely busy and tiring lives so by the time we have 15 to 20 minutes to ourselves we're usually exhausted. I wish I could give more specific or actionable information than that but there just really isn't any - I miss the fireworks, I miss that just-fell-in-love-and-can't-get-enough-of-each-other feeling, that every-time-I-see-you-I-want-to-tear-your-clothes off feeling. It's just not the same as it was in the beginning. Anyone else experienced something similar after being in a faithful, long-term relationship for years? |

I was married- Be random- by her flowers out of the blue, or some small trinket that she would find interesting. You'll get her thinking about you. There's many other things you can do.... PM if you want more. |
