Post subject:  Been a week with no sex...due to complications...
My girlfriend has been having irregular periods.. and it has been killing me since my sex drive is pretty average-high.

I have resorted to masturbating to prevent myself from going after new pussy. I have been prolonging a girl who has been trying to get into my pants the past two weeks. Essentially, I am trying not to cheat. I like my girlfriend but this has not been the first time she has been spot bleeding. I am getting tired of it. I thought girls were supposed to get 12 periods a year.

She refuses to go to a doctor about it and I am growing dissatisfied. Should I confront her about it?

Well it is not easy when she refuses, but try talking her into taking the pill. It should help to stabilize things

I'd have a chat with her, tell her go see the doctor, get on the pill. Tons of women take the pill just to regulate that stuff.

I took some time and went through some of the threads that you posted here.

I start to think that this is an excuse she uses because she doesn't want to have sex with you.

All you can do is explain to her that you understand that she is not up for it, but your needs are not being met. And you don't need to have sex because there are other ways ie. blowjob, handjob etc. If you do this in a calm way and she respects you she will do something about it.

Sometimes bleeding can turn a women off sex, but not because they don't get horny, more like because they don't feel clean and don't want to get embarrassed. But my personal experience with my past 6 relationships were that it can be sorted out always.

Eh, I don't think it's an excuse. She uses up the tampons she has and I always see the wrappers in the trash. She also uses panties instead of thongs when she is on her period; So it seems to me that it is having it. She has told me that she doesn't like the idea of sex when she is having her period. The only problem I have is that she has been having two periods in a month which isn't normal I believe. However, maybe after a few more months her cycle will stay consistent. She is on the pill so that's why I don't think it is normal if the pill is suppose to somehow help regulate periods.

I still can't understand this. Ok she has irregular periods. She does not want to have sex on periods. Lets say that is okay as well. But irregular (or twice as often as you say) is not the same as constant? So why no sex when period is over?

Pill helps regulating periods, bud does not necessarily fix them. My gf misses some of her cycles on the pill. But she is very unhealthy, so thats fair enough.

And there is always an underlying reason for that. Believe me, she does not have to see gynecologist, but she wants a generic blood test, she will most likely find out something is out of order

How old is your girlfriend?

Also, when other posters say it's an excuse, they don't mean that your girl is lying to you about her period, but that it's not the real reason, just a way how she justifies her decreasing sexual interest in you.
