Hey guys, I'm going to make this real short and to the point. My friends made me a POF account over the weekend b/c they wanted to find me a gf- we happened to be a little drunk and I didn't even know they made it. Apparently the account says I am 29 but I'm really 25 other than that everything is real. Long story short I now have a date tomoro night after them messaging a bunch of girls. They told my date through online messaging that I am a doctor but I am actually a second yr med student. This girl is really sweet (I have been texting her the past couple of days) and it wasn't until tonight that I found out exactly what they told her when I was looking through the messages. I also didn't see the mistake about my age until tonight as well. I don't know what to do now. I honestly thought they made the profile accurate. I do not feel right pretending to be a doctor when I am just a med student. I also don't know how to tell her what happened without ruining my chances with her. I just feel like this isn't even something someone can believe. Does anyone have any suggestions? I really feel like I'm in a pickle here and I don't want to hurt her feelings- she seems to like me and is very excited about our date. I should add she is also an undergrad student at my school so there is a chance I can run into her (another reason why I want to make it clear that I am just a 25 y/o medical student). I think you should just tell her the truth, that your friends made the account and you just found out about that now. Try to be humorous and not make it into a big deal, but also let her know that you didn't want to start off on the wrong foot. |

Yeah honesty is going to be best. She either accepts this happened or not. There is little you can do about it, because it's not going to end well if you lie and she finds out... |

Agreed with both the posts above. You should tell her what really happened. Girls like it if be honest with them. |
