6 month LTR "The things I would do to him", "I would do very bad things to him" etc. At the onset of the relationship she tried to bring up the topic of "freebies", I said "I'm a man, celebrity doesn't do anything for me. You can pick celebrity freebies but I'm going to pick some of your friends." Now I'm not making that joke so much, but she'll routinely talk about an actor or athlete like a little brat. If I blew up it would be "babe, I'm JOKING". But I want this to not be okay without sounding insecure. What do I say next time she talks about banging an actor? |

Non reactive or reverse with exaggeration is best.. Looks like you took the exaggerate and reverse route previously with the "bang one of your friends.." thing, which is good, should have put her in her place and let her know the score. Women sometimes do this because they have gotten a reaction from previous boyfriends, which they get off on, sometimes you can give the correct reaction, but they will continue, to test you further because they are used to the possessive/insecure reactions..keep it up, if its still happening just go total non reactive and punish that behaviour. |

How does it make you feel when she talks about banging celebs? Does it turn you off? Does it make you look at her like she's a child? Does she "lose points" in your book? Does she bring the mood down with such nonsense and make you think about how you could better be spending your time? My point is, have standards. If a girl does something that is stupid to you repeatedly, you should naturally get turned off. She should be able to pick up on how when she talks crap, your dick goes limp and she hurts her chances of you staying with her. A line, a joke or a comment means nothing if you don't truly feel like YOU CHOSE this girl not the other way around. If your frame in the rs is nothing she does can turn you off then you might as well accept the comments. If you walked into your boss' office and started saying stupid stuff every week, do you think your boss would joke it off or even bother explaining why it's dumb? No, they'd just look at you in such a way that you know you're only hurting you career. The biggest thing with lines or responses in these cases, is that a guy with standards, a guy who chooses a girl would not utter a response. Anything you say whether a joke or serious, subcomminicates "I don't want you to do that because I really want to be with you" but having standards even with a look or how you act subcommunicates "Wow you just turned me off, maybe I made the wrong choice with you." |

I have the same Issue but slightly worse as she has begun comparing me to every guy she knows. I already figured that hasn't been sexually attracted to me anymore since she is starting this kind BS. When she started I just went ahead and ignored it because I know its one of those things women like to do in a relationship for no obvious reasons. Its like I get the feeling that she's hoping for me to break up with her because she wants to go and do shit. Not to mention I also get the feeling that shes only sticking around now because I'm a means to an end but I'm still holding out on that idea seeing as how she willingly makes an effort to help pay the bills. So I'm going to figure that's shes only gonna be sticking around me until she can manage to pay all the bills herself ans toss me out like a used napkin. You guys got any advice on how to go forward with this? |
