Post subject:  Girlfriend calling me buddy
My girlfriend recently started calling me buddy because she knows it annoys me (we tease eachother a lot by calling names) but I'm having a hard time to deal with it, and I think she knows this. I don't mind being teased but I REALLY dislike the word 'buddy' :P I'm her boyfriend, not her buddy, right?

What is the best way to handle this? Should I make clear she should stop calling me this or should I just act like I don't care? Our relationship is OK (together 3 months), it's not perfect but we are doing fine without any big problems.

Hope this question doesn't sound too silly :D

The more you think about it and let it bother you, you will project that it bothers you. The reason it does bother you is because you think you are being compared as a friend. Admit it it could be very nerve racking. My best advice is dont let it bother you. Your thinking about little things and details to much. Relax... The girl I am dating now likes to call me dude when we are joking around messing with each other. I always say something witty back and call her bro. Clear your mind man its all good

Ignore it and don't pay it any attention. She's doing it to you because she knows it will spark a reaction out of you, after she keeps doing it and she gets no reaction from you she'll give up on it.

She will never run out of ways to try to bug you if you let this little thing bother you. One teasingly playful way you could possibly get her to stop is to tell her she reminds you of your little sister or one of your guy friends when she calls you that.

I like this.

Reminds me of a buddy of ours that had a really hot sister. We'd always joke about fucking her brains out and it would drive him nuts...which naturally only made us want to do it more. Another buddy of mine is the polar opposite: We'll make jokes about his mom and he'll flip it on us and say shit like "Yeah, I drilled her in the ass last night". Weird for sure...but really effective at taking the fun out of teasing him.
