Been together 18 months. She hid it but put on weight since we met. Things came to a head in the summer - told her 'lose the weight or it's over'. It's taking a long time. Now she's promised to lose the weight by Xmas but frankly I"m getting bored with waiting, feel pissed off she took me for granted by putting on weight in the first place (I'm very fit and slim BTW so no double standards here). I don't find her attractive at the moment and told her that I have no desire to have sex whilst she's like this. Don't feel like seeing her or talking on the phone either. Advice? |

I have to agree here. Dont think you really love her if you say that kind of shit. You could say like "You really need to loose weight, I love you anyhow, but weight gain is not healthy for you and its making me less attracted to you".Stop being a fucking asshole. Why are you even in a long term with a girl you couldn't give less of a shit about ? That would would be a lot more okay than what you have told your girlfriend. I think deep within that you believe that you cant get another girl to be honest. Telling your girlfriend you dont want sex with her when she is overweight is not going to make her loose weight. You have to be a little bit more smooth in your criticism, apprently the things you have said has not helped. |

OP, you're a bit of a dickhead you know that? You're not just some dude who is fucking random women and giving them the high of the chase. You're in a relationship and putting a chick down, you're making her feel desperate and like shit by giving her an ultimatum over her weight or it's over. If you're not sexually attracted to her because she put on weight there are ways to address that. If it doesn't get addressed just break up with her without putting her down like a prick. |

(kicks the dead horse) How do you see this playing out? She loses weight and maintains that with a perfectly intact psyche....Impossible. Move on if you arent getting what you want. Why would you want to be in a LTR with someone that doesnt meet your standards? Wasting time if you ask me. |

You did good by telling her how you felt, but you were a bit harsh, but I completely understand you. You told her what you want, and if you she is trying, you should help her. If you see she has 0% motivation to change, then its time to breakup and wish her all the best. Don't be to harsh, but she shouldn't be so complacent anyway. |
