| Post subject: | How to break no contact? |
I'm just wondering how I should go about contacting my ex after going no contact for 4 weeks? And more importantly, what should I say? This is what I had in mind: "Hey how's it going? My parents came to visit me and we went on a tour of Parliament. It reminded me of when we went and how everyone was dead silent in the library haha (inside joke from during our relationship. I'm unsure if I should include this). Anyway, I hope you're doing well. I was thinking we'd meet up for coffee sometime this week and catch up." Let me know what you guys think. Cheers. |

Why would you contact your ex? Go fuck 10 other girls and get over her... |

Don't. It's done and that text would just kill it for you.

I wasn't the text to be somewhat neutral so it doesn't look like I want her back. |

The idea of No Contact is to wait for her to contact you, and if she doesn't, you'll get over her. Win win situation. If you contact her first you're saying "Hey, I'm still really into you! I'm not over you at all and I've spent the last four weeks not living my life waiting for this moment" |

Quote: If she's not receptive to meeting up, I was just going to say we should try to be friends. Are you ok with, and can you handle just being platonic friends with this girl? If the answer is no, then don't do it under any circumstances. |

Do you have a phone that can send pictures? If you do, take a picture of something funny that "made you think of her" and see what happends. Example: A close in picture of a dog with a funny face, and then send a short text like, "Beautiful, isn't she? Mistook her for you." And if she answers, remember that the dog is definitely the cuter of the two, and very cuddly... DON'T bring up being friends, or wanting to get back. If you want to get to that stage you gotta express value; by being funny, by bringing social value without her having to fear you making advances on her. Have her guessing. If you don't message her then chances are very slim that she would do it. Possible but unlikely. |

So you think I should contact her then? You're one of the first people to say that. Well, you and my dad haha. He thinks I'll regret it if I don't try to contact her. She climbed it the night before we broke up yesterday. Maybe I could say something like, "I was looking through my phone pictures and found this old picture of a monkey in a tree What does everyone think? |

Oh and she hates the picture of her up in the tree. I remember her thinking she looked disgusting. Maybe I could tease her about that? |

Should my text be laid back and funny, acting like everything's cool. Or should it be more neutral and serious like "Hey, how are you? Hope you're doing well, etc." |

You have a good start with the monkey thing. Give it a chance and see where it goes. If it doesn't seem to be going anywhere then I suggest you move on. You need a life outside this girl.

Just do SOMETHING OR WALK AWAY. Not being mean but you're last post was full of asking. You're not going to get a consensus on how to handle it. PICK ONE, AND DO SOMETHING. SEND A TEXT, OR DON'T...BUT DO SOMETHING. TAKE SOME TYPE OF ACTION NOOOOW |

I predict that you won't get her back. |
