Post subject:  Jealousy, fights, now both "taking some time"

Started seeing this girl a couple of months ago... after my 5 year LTR. I was feeling needy as after my LTR I was lacking inner game and feeling unwanted etc. So, made some mistakes early on in the relationship.. didnt make her chase after the first 2 weeks, became all lovey-dovey with her, etc.

Usually we're good, lots of laughs lots of fun. But she loves to drink. When she drinks she becomes easy to anger and also flirtatious with guys. At first I didn't react, but after being with her for a while I started feeling jealous whenever she did this. She knows just about everyone in the bars we go to (most of which are guys), and she's loud and extrovert so always joking around with them. However, recently she started being a bit too flirty for my liking.

Whenever this happens, to avoid showing jealousy I just tell her "Hey I gotta go after this drink OK?" She gets pissed off when I do this and we usually have an argument ending with making up and going back to her place. This puts a strain in the relationship and the fights get worse over time. Last week we had the biggest fight yet and ended with her not letting me take her home and saying she wants a break coz she can't handle all the fights.

Next day she emails me stating again the need for taking some time to think. I email back saying I agree but probably went overboard with telling her "Ill be here for you etc"..
Have not had contact with her since.

What should my next move be? Wait until she initiates contact? Or send a short email telling a light hearted story? What other options are there? I do like her and hope we can continue the relationship.

Good, do not initiate contact with her. Your jealousy and neediness came across so the best way to counter that is by becoming unavailable. She craves attention. My advice would be to just ignore her until she contacts you, when she does, wait a day or two before replying. It might take a couple of weeks, but it will work. When you meet again, act as if nothing happened and be sexual. Meanwhile start reading some books, I suggest Secrets of the Alpha Male.

Good luck

Whats up boss sounds to me like shes crossing your boundaries ..do you really want her? Its better to take the time of...I was a real jealous person at a point still am but I know how to control it...what I did was on each of my wrist I wrote weakness and on the other wrist I wrote strong which means every time you feel a jealous/negative thought going thru your head look at your wrist and turn that into a positive thought if you dress well always on your 100% look, don't let it get to you cause shes missing out on a great person...and I know your a great person because your trying to make the effort...She needs to stop drinking let her know you got boundaries aswell...You should listen to DoubleCoffee on the book part...It will work for you!!!... p.s its a faster process to make a new relation ship than to try and fix one... A+
