Long story short, I met this hot and wonderful girl. We dated 2 months and then 5 months exclusive. She was acting really loving and caring at first but its been 1 month that it feels like its loosing all the good things it had, dont know if its a phase in the relationship but She is acting distant and not giving much attention to me. i talked to her about it, in a very casual way, because I really dont like playing games and she told me this, "I am very happy with you but I dont want to be all over you, I am a really caring person and always express my feelings but you are sometimes very cold with me. I am a bit insecure about what you think of me and dont want you to break up with me because I am always over you." In my past relationships I was very clingy and needy but after 3 failed relationship, (one was a 4 year that ended really bad) I learned my lesson and dont do the same mistakes. I treat them really good, dont get me wrong.. but dont overwhelm them with messages, attention, etc.. If she acts distant i act more distant. This has helped allot. What I need help is, should I change my ways with her? I dont have a problem with being the first one to say, "good morning babe, hope you have a nice day" or " How your day going? hope everything´s fine" because I did this allot in the past and the truth is you give her control, after a while she starts ignoring you more and then its the typical "I needs space" shit. She is asking me to do this type of things, and her excuse is that she is cold with me because I dont do them and if I change she will change. I really dont want this thing to end. Any good advice from you guys with past experiences would help allot. Cheers. |

Well, I'd say the 5-6 month mark is the end of the dating honeymoon so to speak, so its not THAT strange that things are evolving a bit. "I am very happy with you but I dont want to be all over you, I am a really caring person and always express my feelings but you are sometimes very cold with me. I am a bit insecure about what you think of me and dont want you to break up with me because I am always over you." Are you guys still sleeping with each other? Has the sex gotten worse since the 5 month mark? If the sex is getting worse, or worse, non-existent...you have a an issue on your hands. |

my relationship got bumpy at about the 5-6 month mark. this seems to be normal. continue being the guy that attracted her in the first place. continue to be spontaneous and keep coming up with new date ideas. dont get too attached. that will only push her away. i know of countless people whos girlfriends started acting distant and they pushed them away by being even more clingy. have a life besides her. if sex is getting worse then you gotta change it up and try new things. dont keep doing the same routine |

I figured that it could be just a little bumb, keep going to be the same guy, never going to be clingy. Spice things up and come up with new date ideas seems like the right thing to do. Hope things get better if not well I guess its time to end it... Just needed someone to give me a little push. Thnx for the advice guys. Sex is no problem until now, If it was i think I wouldn´t be wasting time on the relationship. Cheers! |
