I've been dating a girl for 6 months. I go to grad school so I'm pretty busy with that, and I also have a hobby which consumes a lot of my time (strength training and competing in strong man, along with the diet for it). Anyways, I don't have any real friends in the city I'm in. I have a few acquaintances, but other than this girl, I don't really hang out with anybody on a regular basis. She has more of an active social life than I do. To be honest, I don't really have time to hang out with "Friends" regularly unless I want to sacrifice other aspects of my life (strong man competitions) for the sake of doing so. I haven't been boring I don't think. I have a variety of interests therefore we do a variety of things (not just sitting at home each night). My question is, is my lack of friends something that could kill my relationship? Thus far it hasn't been an issue. She's asked me, and I told her I have friends at school and the occasional friend I hang out with. I should say, the first two months I was dating her, I was also dating another girl but have since dropped that other girl. |

I don't see it being an issue as long as you don't cling to her. Just take the line that you're very busy and also very selective with friends and only value high quality ones. |

I could tell you a lot about this outta personal experience,BUT,long story short, no , it doesn't matter. Only stupid people will ever judge you on how many friends you have. If you dont have ANY friends , thats a problem However , if you have few but close friends , or a lot but not so close friends , is a different matter. No one can say which is better , but judging someone by the number of friends he has is just stupid. |
