So me and this girl were talking/flirting for a few weeks then I finally took her out on a date. It went really well but I only kissed her on the cheek at the end of it.. The next day I ask if she wants to study together but she had work, and later I ask if she wanted to get brunch but she said she had "plans to meet with her girl friends already"... (red flag)?

1 week passes of not talking at all. I text her, but it's small talk so then I ask if she's mad at me. She says she was busy with exams and being in a car accident (I know she wasn't lying b/c I saw pics online). And she couldn't go home for the holidays because of her injury and she now doesn't have a car. I just left it at that and said sorry about that, if you need anything I'm here..

2 weeks later she texts me just to see how I'm doing and that she's sorry for not contacting me in a while. She says she's been struggling with money with the car, medical stuff, etc. then adds at the end "but I do want to catch up with you :)" I just reply saying if you need a hand let me know. A couple of days later we wish each other good luck on final exams

Is she still interested?? I feel like she's not anymore cuz she hasn't initiated contact at all during the holidays. I haven't done anything cuz I don't want to appear needy and I feel like I've done enough. I don't even know where I went wrong

she said she wants to catch up ( :) ), and you just told her let me know if you need anything? you missed that one big time. letting weeks go by without talking isn't playing hard to get, its playing "I don't care". you're trying to hard, just be yourselfand try to set something up again.

The thing is I've initiated to hang out with her twice before and she was too busy. I feel like it's a one-end thing if I'm the one doing all the chasing. Sure, she said she wants to catch up with me (2 WEEKS LATER). WTf was she doing in that hiatus? It doesn't take long to shoot a text or say what's up on the phone. That's why I pulled back and didn't say I'd like to catch up too; I'm being too available that way. If she's still interested, she would have continued to fight for me but she just cut off there

so I guess in some ways I'm answering my own question

she was in a car accident. she has no car, is hurting for money. she has more important things than you. yet she still said she wants to get together. what are you waiting for? it sounds like you're just not that interested

ya I heard you the first time. you missed the other parts of her message about recovering from the accident. that's why i said i'm here if she needs anything/help. what she wants to hear is yes I'd love to catch up with her but I didn't say yes NOR did I say no, it's called playing the fucken game to keep her guessing whether I'M still interested or not <--- it's not rocket science. i got it from here bro

AFCLF, I think you're doing the right thing! Not acting needy and after asking her 2 times, you did your job, the rest is up to her. Maybe if you're really into her, try something like " Hey just wanted to know how things are holding up with your car/health etc" Just show a little interest again and see if she catches on.
