So my ex g/f of 3.5 years broke up with me last June. I was head over heals for this girl and we were discussing getting engaged prior to us breaking up. She literally broke up with me out of nowhere, claiming she needed some time to be herself and think about things whatever the fuck that means.

I have not heard from her in since August, and have not attempted to contact her since September.

It took me a long time to get over this chick but have since been dating and hooking up with other girls.

She literally broke up with me out of nowhere, claiming she needed some time to be herself and think about things whatever the fuck that means. After some initial calls like "WTF r u serious" because we both moved to a new city together and our relationship up until this was probably the strongest it ever was. So I gave her space and after the first month i started sending her occasional ping texts. I have not heard from her in since August, and have not attempted to contact her since September. When she ignored me so i said fuck her and didn't try to contact her again. It took me a long time to get over this chick but have since been dating and hooking up with other girls. Yesterday she randomly texted me "hey, how have you been," should I even bother responding? I always thought we'd be friends if we broke up but i don't think i'm completely over her. Honestly deep down I could still see myself getting back together.

I would take my time before answering her text back! Let her miss you a little bit, but keep going out with other girls. The best cure to get over a girl and to act none need is to have many options! Take your time and act casual, none needy and aloof! Let her win you over, and do the work, if she is not willing to do the work to win you over..then she is not worth your time and just move on!
