Post subject:  Engagement: a little help needed
So, this isn't for me...I'm doing it for my sister and my (soon but maybe not so soon brother-in-law. My sister and her fiancé are having big time problems. As in they pretty much fight EVERYDAY :x. This becomes a much bigger problem when you have a kid as well. Me and my sister are really close and she is always coming to me for advice (she's 5 years older than me so maybe it's just for comfort lol) and I'm not exactly sure what to tell her. Here's what the problems ultimately revolve around:
-He is a big time fisherman and hunter and seems to care more about that than her.
-He is always trying to go out on the weekends (most of the time it is either out of town to go hunting or to the beach (100 miles) to go fishing, when most of the time she obviously can't go because she has work or has to watch the baby. They have a kid so he SHOULD watch it but he likes to party more.
-She does bitch A LOT but she says it's only because she feels unhappy.
I told her to freeze him out but then I remembered...THEY HAVE A KID :roll: What do you recommend both do as a fix? They DON'T want counseling...

Women very rarely take advice, especially from guys. It really doesn't matter what advice you give. The important thing (to her) is that you are there for her to share her emotions with. As guys, we always try to FIX things (it's a very logical approach to a problem). Girl's, on the other hand, are all about experiencing and managing their emotional reactions to problems.

Just my 2 cents. I know that probably wasn't exactly what you were looking for, but hopefully it gives you a bit of perspective.
