It's relevant to the advice I'm going to give you. The idea behind going "no contact" is to mentally move on so that you can deal with neediness and build up "value" (for lack of a better term). Then, you can re-contact your ex from a position of abundance and confidence. You've still been communicating with this girl on a daily basis and you haven't done anything to demonstrate heightened value. You should be busy going on dates and seeing other women. Sure, you can FAKE an abundance mentality and healthy social life by remaining aloof and only texting her back sporadically. However, I think women are pretty good at picking up on superficial change vs. actual change. Therefore, my advice is to severally cut down on contact. Treat her like a FB.. only see her once a week and keep conversation to a minimum during the week (i.e. only text about logistics: when and where you're going to meet up next). The whole "abandonment issues" catch-22 is that she gets to make you feel shitty for moving on, even though she's broken up with you. You lose no matter what. You should not let her issues dictate your actions. -Wolf |
