Just a little one, but I wished my ex happy birthday.. no questions on the text and she replies first with thanks and then ask how I and how is my mum etc.. I replied telling how things have been.. nothing too detailed and then asked how she and family was. She replies by starting off 'good to hear from you' and then put a cutesy name for me. In the message also makes it clear that her parents now know she has a new boyfriend, who I knew about and she has been dating for quite a while now. she didnt asked any further questions but just put 'take care of yourself x' at the end and then signed off with a cutesy name for her. We have been broken up a long time but I do miss her. I broke things up initially as I felt we were very different.. but as I said I do miss her.. Does it sound like a girl who has moved on or who is having trouble moving on?.. Hard to tell I know and yes I should go out and fuck everything I can,, but I would like to know. thanks in advance |

it's not hard to tell at all. she didn't contact you. you contacted her. she has a new boyfriend. what about that says "i am a girl who is having a hard time moving on?" lol what? you want to infer that because she was polite and playful that she is dying inside and pining for you? |

 I understand what you are saying. Ok, I contacted her.. but all she needed to do was say 'thanks x'. Instead she initiated a bit of conversation so I wasnt sure.. Perhaps you are right.. maybe she is just being polite. I went out with her for 5 years so letting go hasnt been the easiest of things. |

Sounds like she's just being nice. Has a history with you and obviously still cares about you, but that's about it. Move on buddy. The sooner you mentally free yourself up for someone else the better. There are plenty more fish in the sea! |
