So I'm watching this film ( Crazy Stupid Love ) and it's about a man who gets cheated on by his wife he's been with her for 25 years and they divorce. So each night he's moping around in the bars, Then he meets this guy who picks up any women he wants etc... Like a Pua. Style, dress sense all that jazz. He decides to help this man loathing his life because of a woman. One of the questions he ask's him is ( When did you lose it all)

So I've been in a relationship over year now and thinking about it. I have lost it, I don't feel myself I don't care how I look etc... I'm losing contact with my closest friends and I always feel I'm doing something wrong when I go out even though she never minds me going out. I want it all back my looks my, my style, my friends. But I still want a relationship I wonder if I'm in to deep to change now.

Never too late, bro. Be thankful you're healthy and alive, and have a roof under your head. Be thankful you have a family that cares about you.

You can act now. You're not too deep. Start tomorrow, not on Tuesday. Go to the gym, run for 20 mins, stop eating junk food, or whatever. You know what I mean.

I saw that movie, I liked it.

Forward moving champ, you just need to be "strong" enough to remove the things in life holding you back.

If thats your girl.. so be it.

Never accept your comfort zone for long periods of time.. you will become.... complacent and stale.

OMG, complacent and stale. That's exactly what happened to me in a LTR. I don't think it's the LTR or the gf to blame. It's just the attitude towards the relationship and yourself. To me it happened 3 years into it, and I stayed 2 more years in the LTR, relatively unhappy with what I have become, a fat, lazy, non-ambitious and fairly miserable person. Now I'm single and happy, moving forward and I pray to god I will not let this happen again. It's not too late! You've noticed it and you have to act now, before it becomes too late. It's much harder to get out of the rut later. I'm not saying to break up, just find yourself again. If your relationship is preventing you to do that, then you should break up. Good luck!

I loved that film.

I knew about pick up, but disregarded it. It's this film which made me want to learn.

I was also in a LTR (5 years) Broke up about 3 weeks ago. When I'm out, with friends, doing something I'm fine. It's when I'm alone which tends to be tough.

You'll enjoy being single so much! I was in your shoes a year ago, also a 5 year LTR and now it's really awesome to be single and just enjoy the life.

I think it probably is a blessing in disguise. It's hard at the moment, but there's so much more freedom. We're still on good terms, as I'm not a d*ck. It wasn't a sour break up or anything. So we're still in touch, which makes it a little harder but I'm battling through.

I think it would be better for you to cut contact. You don't have to do it at once, just less and less contact until you're not in contact at all. If you wanna be friends, you can reinitiate in about a year or something, that way there is no pain. I'm still in good terms with my ex, but when having contact was painful for me, I stopped it. Now we can be on even better terms.

I know exactly what you mean bro! I am the same way....I still go to the gym and keep in good shape but before I met my gf It seemed I was more motivated to look good....I mean I wouldnt eat half the shit I eat today, I dress well now but I use to buy GQ magazine and search the net for the latest styles so that I always looked top notch when going out, I groomed my self alot more!

I also dont have many friends anymore....kinda sad actually! I have let them all slide out of my life.

I need to get back to the "REAL" me that I loved before! I mean before I met my gf I was fuckin confident! almost cocky and I thought I was the best thing on earth! now Im still confident but Im not the same....I dont have the edge I use to have.

I really need to get back to were I was before!
