Ok, I'm in a new relationship and just recently her ex came up in a topic accidentally. We were talking about her old place and I asked her if she lived with anybody there and she responds with: "Yeaaah, but I cant tell you." After 10 seconds of pause she blirts out "I lived with my ex until we broke up." I didnt wanna keep talking about it so I just brushed it off. But anyways, I just wanted to know what you guys think about talking about your girls ex? What are the do's and don'ts? Or is it something that should just be ignored? |

If you like the girl, ignore it otherwise it will eat you up. Very rare to find a virgin these days. If you do want a virgin go become religious. Be happy that she is with you and move forward. |

I don't ignore it but I don't talk about past eighter. Nothing good came from "past love" talks ever. I never say how many girls I've been with and don't want to know how many she was with eighter. My GF was in LTR for 8 years. And only thing I know about it is the first name of her ex. But to be honest I just find other peoples relationships boring. |

Meh, I will disagree with the majority here. I always ask about ex's early on. Jealousy is just a sign of insecurity and I'm not insecure. The ex's are usually ex's for a good reason. After hearing about all the horror stories of her previous relationships, I typically go on my rant about how most guys are relationship-impaired and about how society does a terrible job educating guys about this stuff. It works as a huge DHV because I "get it". In my opinion, ex's are there to be lightly mocked and make good material for teasing and push-pull tactics (much like boyfriends). That's about it. -Wolf |
