This is not related to pick up, but more about NLP in general. Say i went to talk to someone who was trained in NLP like a salesman lets say. If i ran language patterns on them to like get a discount lets say, would it work or would they pick up on it right away? |

Not all salesman study NLP in fact it's probably rarer than the opposite. But yes it would(could) work, but not as well b/c they may know what your doing. And you run the risk them actually being better in it than you and them using it on you. But NLP concepts work universally such as using someone's personal metaphors. |

yes i can say with confidence that if you did not tell the salesman or whoever that you was trained in NLP then they wouldnt be looking for language patterns therefore no resistence. They may notice that your language is alot like someone who is trained in NLP but they probably wont believe that you know NLP. Remember these believe they the upper hand on you so no matter what they wont think that you are a NLPer |

Your question shows a serious misunderstanding of NLP. Language patterning does not work 'against' someone, it is not a war. NLP and hypnosis is something that you do with someone, not on someone. When you view your interaction through this kind of window, it becomes clear that it is effective on anyone who you can get involved in the process. NLP is the study of the structure of the subjective experience. This means understanding how people view and organize their world and reality, so is that your suggestions cannot be rejected if it appears to come from their own mind. Secondly, I hope you already know this, but a language pattern is not an incantation. in order for it to be effective it must be uttered with the correct will and intent. You must have a clear outcome in mind. The language, whilst important, is far less important than how it is delivered. -M |

the thing about nlp people misunderstand is nlp is about coomunication its not just patterns, eye accessing cues and anchoring its about communication so basically its like saying does talking work to someone else who talks! |
