Do NOT overuse these in conversation because you will just seem VERY confusing and that's not a good thing. Sprinkle them in to confuse the listener. When they are confused, they are suggestible (according to RJ), and you will have to lead them somewhere with embedded commands for example. Double Negation (I learned this from Igor Ledochowski's Conversational Hypnosis Course): "You really shoudn't not feel totally compelled by this.." Based on the theory that the conscious mind has to work harder in order to process a negative. Stacking multiple realities (learned from RJ): Quoting something, that quoted something else, which also quoted something else. This is designed to cause the critical mind to just give up and lose track of everything you are quoting. Example: "I was talking to my friend Cheryl the other day (first quote), and she told me that she was watching a show on the Discovery Channel (second quote) about a seminar (third quote) that dealt with how we connect with each other...and it said that a recent study shows (fourth quote)..that when you really allow yourself to feel a connection, a person can...STOP..and recognize, that's taking place...." Multiple time distortion (learned from RJ): More than 1 time distortion. This is used often in Incredible Connection patterns. "...stop...and imagine a time in the future (1 time distortion) still feeling that incredible connection..and looking back to this moment (2 time distortion, notice how "this moment" is vague) as being the start of it..." The change of meaning within a sentence (RJ uses this all the time with his, "now, with me" binder commands. However, Igor Ledochowski really explains it well in his course) Basically, you take two statements, two sentences, one of which begins with the same word or the same phrase as the other one ends with. Example: "You can relax now" + "Now is the time to learn about conversational hypnosis" = "You can relax now is the time to learn about conversational hypnosis." Run the sentence as if you forgot you were changing topics. Ross Jeffries uses these a lot (but fails to explain it like Igor does). Example of how to use this in the Discovery Channel Pattern: "..as you reach the peak, and you are about to go down..you're screaming with excitement now with me, I find that when that's taking place, it's an absolute rush.." That is a combination of: 1. You're screaming with excitement now. 2. Now, with me, I find that when that's taking place, it's an absolute rush. |

^Thanks Clockwork, if people read this they will find it quite beneficial. Once you put all the pieces of the puzzle a lot of it just comes down to bypassing the mind's critical faculty and talking straight to the subconscious. When you start centering a lot of your material on this one key fact, things start to have dramatic effects. |

The I/You switch: I can imagine a time when I FEEL TOTALLY FASCINATED with someone... ME, I think when you LET THOSE THOUGHTS RUN THROUGH YOUR MIND and find yourself thinking about this person in a new way... This allows you to talk about yourself and so the person will not consciously criticize, then you smoothly switch it for "you". |

Quote: The I/You switch:
Here are some more I/You switch statements I learned, follow these with embedded commands. Well, actually, these don't do the complete switch it only describes the "I" part. But, by essence, she'll have to process the embedded command in order to understand what you're saying.I can imagine a time when I FEEL TOTALLY FASCINATED with someone... ME, I think when you LET THOSE THOUGHTS RUN THROUGH YOUR MIND and find yourself thinking about this person in a new way... This allows you to talk about yourself and so the person will not consciously criticize, then you smoothly switch it for "you". "I find that when I...BECOME VERY FASCINATED WITH SOMEONE.." "As I...RECOGNIZE THAT'S HAPPENING" "I begin to..IMAGINE A TIME IN THE FUTURE, STILL FEELING FASCINATED WITH SOMEONE.." (An excerpt from the Gemini Pattern where you are asking yourself a question, but, in effect, she has to ask herself the question too in order to make sense of what you're saying) "It's about asking myself, two very important questions...what is it about certain people that makes us..FEEL THAT WAY about them...to HEAR THIS VOICE..to SEE THIS FACE..and no matter how hard we try to fight it...it's like it TAKES ON A LIFE OF ITS OWN...compelling..vivid..REAL...." (Google the Gemini Pattern to get the 2nd question). |

Double binds: "Is it something that you think about or is your body just going to respond to it?" You give the illusion of a choice using the OR word, but both options will lead where you want her to go. |

Awesome thread ... Now take all the techniques above and weave them together by using a catalyst. Do the daily weather .. out loud .. like the weatherman/woman on cable news. Put in the pauses ... and inflections on the stress words. Create double binds .. I/U switches .. stack emotional triggers .. distort time .. and then anchor it. Doing the weather (like a TV reporter) is easy and fun and you can actually do it just about anywhere without people thinking you're a whacko. You will come across cheesy at first but very quickly you will begin to get good responses and that's when you will start to see how each part works. Have Fun MK |

If you have a negative suggestion from your target along the lines of.."I must" or "I've got too" etc try............. Trackback targets statement exactly word for word same intonation, cadence, loudness and emphasis whilst matching body language, you're now "talking" the targets language and enter a state of heightened rapport. Break rapport by changing your body language and stating "what wouldn't happen if you didn't?" this creates the confusion, watch for the mild trance state as the unconscious "boots up" for extra processing power. Give your alternative suggestion whilst rematching body language, making full eye contact and nodding.her brain is looking for logic, you've just given her it to end the confusion. Change subject (attentional refocus) and continue talking, abracadabra you've seeded your alternative suggestion in her mind. |
