Right, so here's the back story. I moved to the UK about 3 years ago, but just before I left Canada I was seeing this chick (HB7) who I did acting with. Anyway, when I went over the pond we chatted (hot and heavy) for a little while but I haven't spoken to her in about a year. When we did chat she kept saying how I have to go over and see her, and obviously I said she had to visit me. Anyway, I'm going back in 2 weeks for my first time in 3 years, so I shot her this email: Subject: You Lucky Thing Quote: Hello cherish It seems like it's been ages since we've talked, and I hold you to blame for this. Seriously HB7, would it have been that hard for you to come and knock on my door? It's not like I'm in another country or anything.... Anyway, good news. As fate would have it, I'm popping over to Canada in early Feb. (our city) to be specific. I haven't been back in ages and I'm starting to feel that anticipation growing, right now. That nervous but exciting rush you feel when you've been away from something for so long that you can't wait to get back to it. I'm sure many adventures await. So, I want to see you. It would be a shame to waste such an opportunity, wouldn't it? Clear your schedule from Feb - , what's the best way to reach you? Nice job - I agree that these are most effective in person or over the phone, but this sort of thing does work well in emails as well. Using patterning, leading and imbedded commands was undoubtedly effective here. I'm sure you will do even better once you have her on the line!

Nice idea. I'll try that with a girl I've been hanging out. I'll write on her online profile something very vague so she can't tell if I'm talking about friendship or something more. I'll begin eliciting the states of all the fun we had together and hopefully it'll all be linked to me because I'm writting it. I'll put in the idea of us together but in a way she can't tell if together means as friends or something more. I'll give it a try and let you all know.
