Okay, so. Im curious about this, if you are at psychological exam, for example at police academy, is using mirroring recommended? I mean, because these guys probably know about this shit, what is the change you get caught using it? And how much could mirroring help at job interview? |

some people mirror automatically, that is, without themselves being aware of the fact. So I doubt you'll ever be confronted with it. Unless it's obvious that you're doing it through conscious decisions, it most likely will not affect them in a negative way. The best tho, in my opinion, would be to keep a strong but secure frame, letting them see you in your best state. Without any extra mirroring or anything like that. Show them a straightforward Alpha. (The Relaxed kind, not the meathead MFs that strut around in locker rooms) As to job interviews, it could help a lot, depending on the job of course, but people usually like those who they feel they can relate to. (Mirroring creates the illusion that you are more alike than you may have seemed without it.) |

David Riker gives a demonstration of how he did a job interview in the LA 1999 seminar. Basically, he points to himself when he talks about good things or himself and points away when he talks about bad things or the other job candidates. And he used embedded commands to make himself seem more desirable and the best choice. Also when you talk about good things, you use the word "this", and when you talk about bad things, you use the word "that." That's another way you associate good things with yourself and dissociate bad things from yourself. Also use time distortion to get them to imagine a future where they are happy that they hired you. |
