He claims that the affirmations that use " I am" don't work as effectively as affirmations starting with " You." Well I'm kind of skeptical about that. But I have recorded my voice and repeated the affirmations to a tape recorder and I have been listening to it for about a week now.....It will probably take 3 weeks to get it into my subconscious though. so my question is Did the Ross jefferies "how to get laid without trying," affirmations work for you? |

Affirmations are utter crap. If you need to use affirmations then you are trying to overpower a negative feeling or issue. The best thing to do is work out what you are trying to overpower and work on that. Matt |

Affirmations in general do work and they work very well. Some affirmations are better quality than others. I used Ross Jeffries' affirmations from his unstoppable confidence CD. I didn't use them for two weeks like I was supposed to, but I think they did have some helpful effect on me. I'm going to use them again sometime. Most of all, I used affirmations from the "think right now!" series and they worked really well. The catch with affirmations is that you have to do them every day or at least every 2 days for a few weeks. They should start having at least a little effect within the first few days, but the full effect takes longer. And if the effects wear off, you have to do them again. Affirmations and other hypnotic mental reprogramming techniques work but they eventually wear off and you have to repeat them. What the PUA community is really lacking is a really good affirmation CD with nothing but affirmations, similar to the "think right now!" series. |

In my experience there are two side to affirmations. There's one side to it that deludes you into believing you do not have core issue that need to be worked out. You need to work them out first, get rid of them, sortof the proverbial "emptying your cup before pouring in new juice." That's why for some people it just doesnt work, because there are thoughts, preconceived beliefs and ideas about themselves that act as "white blood cells" to counter any intrusive new idea about themselves (as spelled out through affimations, self-hypnosis, etc.) The best way to use affirmations is to go to a level of mind that is way deeper than where affirmations are "stored" - i.e. in the deep THETA brainwave state (between 4 and 5 hrz) and internalize your affirmations there, which of course entails the ability to meditate. Whether we like it or not, these are some pretty deep energy work taking place. |
