So I'm sitting here watching MindFreak (if you're not sure what that is, Youtube "Chris Angel") and I just had an epiphany. Chris Angel very well may be a PUA. And on top of that, if I had to guess, he's familiar with Speed Seduction. If you watch closely, you can see him approach sets, pick a target, and disarm the other people in the set. If you listen closely, you'll also hear some SS and NLP coming through in his "demonstrations." Here's a rough quote from the show I was just watching. "Ok, now I want you to look into my eyes. Just look at my eyes, and nothing else. As if you had tunnel vision, only for me. All you can see is me, and my eyes. Look into the color of my eyes. You'll start to feel something weird, like a connection between us. Don't fight that connection. Let the connection get stronger, and stronger." Now, to be honest, I'm not a fan of pulling out "magic tricks" while sarging, but the PUA influence in some of Chris's stuff is unmistakable. Just thought I'd toss it out there for any of you who'd like to see some SS in use. |

Upon becoming vaguely familiar with aspets of Speed Seduction and watching a couple re-runs of Mindfreak, it seemed obvious that he was well schooled various tactics of NLP and various PUA methods. iWhat is impressive though is that he frequently illicits very strong reactions from his targets, notice, their body language, breathing patterns, and transfixation on him shortly after opening. I'd almost describe his skills as well versed as an MMA fighter in various disiplines of martial arts. He'd be interesting to watch in the field. |

Yeah. Magicians typically start out working parties, which pretty much means opening sets. The only difference being that instead of entertaining people using a gimmick for a tip, you're entertaining people to get a girl. Many concepts of MM are taken from illusionism....... NLP might be an actual thing, but I'm not convinced yet. |
