Post subject:  Sales in Relation to PUAs

By profession I'm a salesman, and I've noticed a lot of sales advice (most GOOD sales advice) can also be applied to PUAs.

Especially the information from Jeffrey Gitomer. Stellar salesman, and excellent on giving information that applies to life in general.

Those his videos leave something to be desired, as they're very short, he always brings up some good points, and I really recommend his sales books (especially the Little Teal Book of Trust and the Little Black Book of Connections) to any PUA.

Here's an example of his videos, where he talks briefly about asking powerful questions:

great vid, thanks for sharing

indeed selling, and pua have a lot in common, cuz we are selling all the time
wheter we are at work, with our friends, etc
we have been doing it since we were kids asking permission to our parents
i have only read one book about selling, is blair singer's: "dog sellers" or something like that (i have it in spanish, couldnt find it in english u_u)

so fresh prince may ask u to write down a couple of GOOD sales advice u have heard and how would u think we could use it to pua, if its not a problem off course, thank u

Sure. Here's a quick list from the top of my head, though I know there's many more examples:

1. People buy for their reasons, not yours. (Discover a target's motive, and you'll see how best to approach them for your goal (Number, date, sex, etc.).)

2. Your ability to observe must be as powerful as your ability to sell and your ability to listen. (Discover who the person IS such as their background, and you'll see the best way to get to them.)

3. Dare to risk it all on the sale. (This one's self explanatory. )

4. Own up to it. Know who's fault it is when a sale's not made. (This is vital if you're going to learn to improve.)

5. One testimonial is worth one hundred sales pitches. (Not sure if the ratio is the same in PU, but having tangible social value trumps barfing up a bunch of routines.)

6. You don't get great at selling in a day. You get great at selling day by day. (Practice, practice, practice.)

7. Create a difference between you and the competition. (Don't be like all the other AFCs Approaching.)

8. Know the value of simply asking for a sale. (Try direct PU.)

9. Have a YES! Attitude. (Take every 'no' as 'not yet'.)

10. AHA! (Attitude, Humor, Action. If you like cocky funny. )

11. Use power statements. Don't sell the product, sell what the product does. (Don't be telling a girl you're the greatest. Tell her how you're going to make her feel.)

12. Cold calls should be brief and to the point. Tell the customer what is going to happen instead of what you want to happen. (Call, make the plans, get off the phone.)

13. When answering a customer's questions, avoid 'Yes' or 'No'. (Always direct the questions back to the girl's desires and fears. Like using NLP.)

14. When the customer wants to buy, LET THEM BUY! (Don't keep spewing your routine when the girl clearly is ready for you to make a move.)

15. Know the power of trust. (A little comfort building goes a long way.)

16. It's not who you know, but who knows you. (Being well known in a club or area (demonstrating social value) is infinitely better than working in stories about your own social value.)

17. Everybody wants to be sold. (Women WANT you to approach them and be "that guy" they could really dig.)

Really, I could think of 100 more easily. Look up Jeffrey Gitomer's books (he's the best in my opinion), or other pieces of sales wisdom, and apply it to PU. But now, instead of "You are the prize", it's "You are the product". Learn to sell yourself and sell what you can offer to a woman. It's mostly the same techniques in my opinion.
