You wont come off needy anymore or be nervous anymore if you use this correctly. Yeah, basically just BE IN THE MOMENT and concentrate on making the moment REALLY HAPPENING, instead of thinking about outcome. This is the KEY to making a great impression on people, in my opinion. |

That's a cool way of getting rid of approach anxiety, but one downside I can think of is loss of confidence. But I have personally tried it before, and it's a good thing to do. Much better than setting high expectations. The more pressure you have, the more anxiety you're gonna have, it seems. |

I don't think this would cause a loss in confidence. If you fail, you were confident in that outcome anyway. If you succeed, you'll be pleasantly surprised. It's a win/win.
