Hey guys, my name's Andrew. I have CP which unfortunately effects my speech, and that's kind of critical upon meeting women. So I'm basically limited to the usual depressed girls on myspace or what have you. On the other hand, once you get to know me anyone can understand me. My last g/f about 5 years ago was able to understand me better than my parents. Haven't had a date since her, so I'm hoping this site will help |

Welcome Man, First off drop the depressed-emo talk. We're here to help. Ok, obviously the wheelchair is going to work against you...or is it? Let's look at this objectively, you roll into a club (pun unintended) and honestly everyone notices. SNAP! You're a guy with a story(DHV). People are interested in you already. You can go up to anyone and start a conversation. Because brutally honest, people are afraid to shun you for fear of being unaccepting (DLV). But, once you prove you're a fun, outgoing guy, their going to want you to stay and people looking in are going to wonder what you know (DHV/Social Proof). As for the speech, Cocky & Funny routine is your friend. As soon as it starts up, disqualify it with a canned line (i.e. Excuse my speech, I left it with my other ride *say confidently*). If you reach the hook point with them it will only increase your appearance if you can control how you methodically pronounce words confidently and consicely (I'm not sure the extent how it effects your speech, can you do this?). Speech relays the message, your body language projects your 'personality'. If you disqualify the speech, then women will focus on the body language. So again welcome, read the basics, field tests the stuff you learn, and we'll help fine tune your game with you. |

Thank you Holden, this is all I need. A fresh new perspective on how people see me and how I can use what I have to my advantage. So Thank you for your welcome! |

Lets just say its all in your head. I agree that when you roll up, you will be noticed. Your chair is your peacock! If you have the right attitude, demeanor and presentation, what you feel thats a handicap will ultimately be your signal to everyone that not only are you fun but you dont let shit get you down. |
