Post subject:  In-Training PUA in the UK

Hey all,

I live in the United Kingdom and I have stumbled across this site after a small bit of searching.

I like the idea of being a skilled PUA, even though sometimes (if not all times) it requires one to have "flexible morals" I have read "The Game" by Neil Strauss and I have worked my way through some of DeAngelo's books and I do like the idea of the cocky comedy routine as I have seen it work to an extent.

The only thing I still find uncomfortable is approaching a set and managing to fire off a good opener (i have read a few openers on this site and of course from 'the game' but I just get the feeling like "this is never going to work"). I am still experimenting with the 3 second rule (walk in and when you see a HB approach and open within 3 seconds of seeing her) and stuff like that. I am, of course, open to learn or else I wouldn't be here :D

Hope to meet you all soon.

P.S. The name, in case you were wondering, was picked after reading over and over how PUAs use NLP on targets and sometimes give them an item to remember that feeling (anchoring is it called?) and also the ring routine etc etc. A Memento. Also, I think it sounds badass

Post subject:  The mystery method

Mystery recommends going out a few times a week to practice your skills. Even if you dont have any skills, surely you'll get over the anxiety part. I think if you actually treat it like a game rather than, a really bad chore, your more likely to progress. You should read "the mystery method" theres lots of interesting things in there. However, I am yet to read a book, article or listen to anything which is 100% perfect. I think you have to cater to your personality, and get over any anxiety you may feel.

Cheers I am currently reading a few of DeAngelo's books as well as reading The Venusian Arts Handbook by Mystery. They both have very different approaches so I think I may end up taking what I like from each and experimenting. Of course, that was my plan anyway ;)
