Post subject:  new here.could use some help.
hi my name is rob.i m from toronto.i found out abt this website today!yesterday i was watching the pick up artist for the first time and it amazed me.i went on google and typed it and found this formus.i am 17 and going to collge this year a little far away from home.i am completely new and could use some help on this stuff.i have never been to a club before.i have read a couple of books on this stuff before but i dont think i found it that helpful.could u guys please help me?thnks

You don't NEED to pick up in a club. You can pick up anywhere. Try at Chapters, for example.

Where's your University at? I'll be in Ottawa for a month over Xmas and will no doubt make it out to Tdot at some stage.

how do i do it.like when i go up what do i say.plus i m bad at keeping the convo going.i m reading some of the post here in the thread.like i am probably gonna try to go to clubs but i dont know what to expect.

More seriously though.. there are a ton of stock-standard openers that are tried and tested... search the forum and you should find some good ones (there's even a section on opening!)

Best thing to do, is search on google for the PUA Lair List - then look up a Toronto Lair and have some of the guys go out with you and help you out.

The best thing you can do when you're starting out is read read read.. you'll hopefully absorb it like a sponge.

BUT, you must make sure you go out and practice practice practice too.

Step One... Get rid of that mentality (you aren't good at keeping the convo going) you are thinking negatively about yourself. Instead try thinking "how do i become that guy that is good at keeping the conversation"

Step Two...stop worrying about it. If you're talking to a girl and thinking in your head "OMG, what am i going to say next, i hope there isn't an awkward silence." That silence will happen and the convo will probably die off so stop worrying about it

Step Three: Like Dex said, start with hi (and a nice smile), then go from there, really it could be anything, or somehting that is going on around you, or you could ask her a question. or just be honest she caught your eye and you wanted to see what she is like.

But really you got to rid yourself of your negative beliefs, and stop letting your mind bring you down and work on your inner game

women are like dogs, they sense fear, they sense confidence. they are attracted to one and repulsed by the other, I don't think I need to elaborate on which one you want to have... It's not easy to just have confidence but unfortunately you have to do it, force yourself... don't think about it, just go and do it... main thing is not projecting the confidence to the female, but rather believing in it yourself. when you make yourself believe that you are great, everyone else around will pick up on it... good luck, make yourself believe you're the shiznit!

but wouldnt it be odd,let say to just see a HG on the street and say hi.i mean wouldnt she say why the hell is he talkin to me if i dont no him?thanks for the tips by the way:).much appreciated. i have read a couple of books.the only problem with reading is i hate it.i have to forse my self like in this situation where i try to read as much as i can.most book tell you that u just have to over come your fear about women,just like you said.but is there a step by step thing to apporch a women that you see in club lets say?

p.s how do i know ppl that i can go with a that can help me there?

that's the thing, you don't give them time to think about it... you engage her in the conversation in a way that she can't really get her guard up, hence the weird questions. how many guys ask her what time it is or where the library is? 100's... how many guys ask her who looks more gay, you or your friend? she may think, why are they asking me, but by the time she thinks that, you already have to engage her in a different conversation...

Exactly, she isn't thinking that, no one has that type of High-Self-Fish complex. Its a really misconception of how other people think.

it's quite big from what I hear.
