Hello. My name is M. I live in Oslo. I'm 41 years old. People say I look 10 years younger. I'm a foreigner in this country. Moved here almost 3 years ago.

Ive been dealing with lots of insecurity about myself. Lots of low self esteem. Anxiety. Many times I feel bad about myself.

I live alone. Well.. I have some SPAM... But I am in my own room. I have privacy. I work as a waiter...

I don't have big social circle. Don't have friends in the true honest meaning of friend. If I want to talk about something that bothers me... I don't have no one. I think I my start to go on social Meetups... Just to get to know someone.

Ive been seeing this YouTube videos... About social dynamics, date coaching, approach... Etc. You know, I think it should improve my life for better. If I could just start doing it. Not in a way to get to girls.. But in a way to find myself. Show my real self. Gain confidence and believe more in me. Girls are just a way for that.

And I don't know. I just need an advice. I had a very disappointing day again and I tried to go out today... Try to connect.. and I wanted to "I need this... Must be now"..But my social anxiety kills me. I just can't do it... But I'm sure the moment I do it.. I know the person I am, I know the moment I do it I will accomplish wherever I want. And it just flows... And Im gonna talk with anyone.

And gets me thinking.. Is that so hard? The first approach?

Am I overthinking?!

im hoping the other more experience people will have some better advice for you
i will say i have some experience with doing the meetups (meetup.com is what you're talking about?)
Yeah its super easy ive done it for a choir, dog walking group and i think that's it
but yeah you really have nothing to lose i would just go to a meet up group for something you like and are passionate about you can always quit the group if you dont like so again really nothing to lose
