Hi I'm Zack

I'm from Detroit MI, but currently I'm living in Japan for about a year...one of my house mates lent me the book "The Game". I remember hearing about PUA's from that reality show on VH1 sometime back, but I never knew so much of this stuff was, well, real. Even reading the book it was a bit to take in....but anyway suffice it to say I'm here because I suck at the dating scene :oops:
My last g/f was...well years ago (high school). She was crazy but well being my 1st g/f y'know it was like "finally". I'm reading Double your Dating now and I gotta say, what I thought I knew means jack-shit now. But the problem arises in that I'm in Japan until Oct. I've heard of PUA's being able to move their magic international style, but I wonder whats the 1st step. From reading these books I know the first step if I was back in the ol' US of A but here, hmm...:?
Sorry I'm off topic, it's nice to be here and I hope I learn some valuable information to boost my skills (or lack thereof)

Welcome on the forum.

I don't live in the US either and I can make it work in the country where I live normally and in the country where I'm at the moment.

What is holding you "internationally"?

The ones who are gaijin (foreigner) hounds yeah, but some are just sweet girls...those are the ones I'm trying to meet. But I fall flat on face or freeze up. I know enough Japanese to kick start a conversation but closing is difficult :?

Anywho today my housemate took me to a local club in Shibuya, which is known for their gaijin hunters. The problem was it was dead as hell. 3 girls in wannabe hip-hop gear were dancing (with no ass of course) and other black guys were poppin and lockin all over (*note: I'm black too, and the fact I can't dance hurts my chances here). Anyway, my housemate was giving me tips but it was in one ear and out the other because I was feeling like a wallflower. It never hit me until I started reading The Game and the forum posts that I was doing the same thing as all the others.
Yeah maybe I'm not hyper geeky or overly desperate, but I was making the same mistakes. My Japanese isn't bad-bad so I can easily ask a girl "how are you?", "Are you from around here?", etc. But I choked, and I felt it. I actually wanted to rely on "liquid courage" to help me move to someone.
I guess it's like that Nick-guy said, "You have to admit defeat first" and today I do. I cannot willingly approach a girl without choking and diving head first into the friend zone, and as such I need help. So maybe by admitting I have a problem I can get on the road to recovery. :idea:
