Post subject:  Hello, newbie here

Hi, I'm Luca. 27, Italian, but living in UK.

I recently came in possession of the book "The Game" by Neil Strauss, that got me closer the world of PUA, a world where I never felt I've belonged to. I come here seeking for self-improvement, to find a new way-out of my struggle and become more "whole".

Long story short, I can't go on any longer with the way I deal with the opposite sex and I need a new POV. I've always been the quiet, introverted, shy person that consider other's opinion way too much, and gets conditioned by them. It all sadly started because of school bullyism.

My problem is that, because of this fear of judgment, I struggle in getting close and start a conversation with the opposite sex. I literally don't know how to come around without looking like an open-envelope...I always feel like women are there to "judge" me. The thought is killing me. And the times when I can manage to get around it, I just have no clue on how to close the case...I feel incomplete and dysfunctional as a man...

I was a professional skier, I'm a chiropractor, I exercise and have tons of stories to share, and a vast knowledge on health, nutrition and various facts. I like to think that I look decent, and I am a sensitive, emotional individual. Hopefully, I'll find the answers I'm looking for here.

Anyway, hey everyone.

welcome to the forum man,

dont worry, everyone thinks that the world is judging themselves so in reality people are always too worried about themselves to focus on you haha just do your own thing.

The Game is out dated. very old book and old old tips, great story, and great writing :)

hope this helped, welcome!

Hey,

Yeah I've heard a lot of people saying that it's outdated. To be honest with you, it sounded like a good read with a compelling story, which motivated me to buy it. The interest in the PUA society came to fruition after a while. I just need to find my own way and ease my brain into thinking that it's ok to fail, it's ok for people to judge you, and that it's never personal.

Thank you for the reply by the way, I'll have some studying to do! Any reccommendations regarding videos/articles and the such?
