Hi Never thought I would be writing here- but recent events in my life forced me to get in touch with you guys. Maybe first, a big thanks to all of you by taking initiative and sharing strategies / stories to improve all of us in the game. Well, as I’m writing what’s popping up in my mind – let me first briefly introduce myself. I go by the name of CherryStone, don’t ask me why but I tend to be sweet and have a stone hearth at the same time. Nevertheless, I’m an honest guy but I simply don’t give away my hearth that easy. I’m a 27 year old boy enjoying my life. I travel a lot, which I like, and I’m keen to meet new people all the time. I value my friends as my family and I’ll take every opportunity that I can grab to improve myself. So why am I here.. ? Long story short – I’m not the best opener from time to time and I don’t have friends that find it as interesting as me to analyze the situation whenever a failed attempt has occurred. Don’t get me wrong I can speak about anything, some small talk here or there I don’t have any issue with that nor doing an actual approach – but it freaks me out every time. It’s like a zillion thoughts of failures shoot through my mind. But “hey” if you never try, you never know right? So my issue is that it all works out if I know a guy (girl) who’s already a friend of the target – then it’s easy to approach. But for the act of approaching (or opening a set of) a +6 point blank (which I do not know)… yeah I do really suck at that which makes me nervous and envy at the same time everybody else who can hence, turning me back into AFC instantly. Well that being said, I hope that my message reaches one of you guys so we could maybe share some experience, learn some from each other.. and at best I hope to find some tips or tricks that can make me better at opening a set efficiently. Regards CS |

Welcome to the forum CherryStone! The great thing about this forum is that we can share our field reports and experiences and analyze them together without relying on just ourselves or friends aren't into self-improvement in this area. Feel free to ask questions and I look forward to hearing more from you! |
