Hey all. Long time PUA forum lurker/reader. Decided to register to partake in discussions. I'm a 40, divorced, full time dad, professionally employed. Not so much gaming like I'm in my 20's and trying to pick up girls at bars. After a marriage, divorce, and a few subsequent disasters in dating, decided to take up PUA to try to improve the quality of woman I was attracting. I'd never really put a lot of effort into meeting women, just went out with friends, did my own thing, and as I bounced around, would meet women naturally sometimes. Since a LTR breakup back in February, at first, I just ignored women, then decided to start doing bachelor things solo and break into some new social circles. Most of my friends/peers are married, have small kids, etc. At a party where the kids were all acting like demons (my son was with his mom), after getting annoyed with the kid antics, I decided to dip a toe back into the dating pool and find some things to do that weren't kid centric when I wasn't on dad duty. Got into PUA back in May/June. Between work, dad time, getting in workouts, and other hobbies (I'm into shooting, hiking, etc.), my time to actually just focus on meeting women is rather limited. So decided to take a stab at online. Have been on many 1st dates. I look at a 1st date with someone from online as more of the final step in screening online women as opposed to real first date, though. Many show up and it's quickly obvious they aren't who they portray themselves online. They get the boot post haste. A few I've gone on to date more - ended up in bed with 3 so far. Currently have a lady I'm quasi dating/sleeping with. But I'm not really looking to settle down with one woman right now, she's down with our arrangement, so it works. I've gotten decent with putting together a good online profile, generating interest, opening well, getting phone numbers, and setting up first dates. I registered mainly because of a bitch shield I encountered with a lady on Tinder in the last couple days. Looking to see if I can break through it. I've got a few others that aren't as difficult, as well. It's really more just wanting to rise to the meet the challenge of getting through this one lady's bitch shield. Her picks are cute, and Tinder says she's very close (I live in the Metro Atlanta area - proximity is important otherwise you spend a lot of time in traffic jams trying to get to a place to meet up!). If she were farther away, I'd not bother. Anyway, sorry for the novel. Off to post a more detailed question in the right forum. |

Tough love time.Your ego is controlling you. It is afraid of rejection so it convinced you that you are too busy to do anything but meet girls from your phone. It even convinced you to put that disclaimer at the end of your post in the case that you received no replies to your message. Go ahead and get mad at me (if you were to it would only be your ego lashing out, so I don't really care). On the other hand you could take my word for it and realize that you are capable of so much, you have unlimited potential, if you would just harness it and put it to use and PUT YOUR ASS ON THE LINE IN REAL LIFE BY RISKING REJECTION. |
