Post subject:  Re-introduction

What's up, guys. As you can see from my post count, and probably from my profile (like anyone reads those), I'm not exactly a new kid to the forum. I've been involved in pick-up and self-improvement for over two years, having established myself in the community as a revolutionary thinker, teacher and leader. I'm a moderator at another forum (which will not be named), a member of a few, and one of the most knowledgeable motherfuckers you're ever going to meet. I run one-on-one training sessions out of Edmonton on a huge array of topics (pick-up and lifestyle-related), so if you're in the area and you need some help with something, give me a shout.

I haven't been on for a while, so I thought a re-introduction was in order. My name is Kris Hansen, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'll be keeping tabs on y'all, so be good. ^__^

There was some drama a while back that I wasn't strictly a part of, more a periphery to, and that led to a fairly wide ban. I got caught in the crossfire through a few of my associations. My ban was lifted this morning. Hooray!

This place was my first home in the community. It'll always have a special place with me. I helped build it from when there were a couple hundred members to the monster that it became after the VH1 show debuted. The ban hit me in a pretty personal way because of that, so it's nice to be back.

Well really, let's face it: you get this many big egos in a small space, and there's bound to be some friction. I mean, this is the only community you're ever going to find that says "Hey, if you want to improve, you should probably inflate your ego a bit." So yeah, people rub elbows in a less-than-awesome way sometimes. Sometimes, it's less like rubbing and more like unrepentant jabbing. Keeping yourself apart from the drama can be tough.

It's my hope that we can put all of it behind us. It would be great if all of the forums could cooperate with one another, or at the very least co-exist peacefully.

You're right. That's what many people in this community think to be the way to go. It's akin to "fake it til' you make it," because ego is fake confidence.

...but that's the wrong way to go about things.
