It was that smile, those lips. The ways she wears it. And if I could just jump in there and swim around for a glimmer of a minute. Perpetual serenity. I am here because of a particular example, a call that I couldn't close on, and would like to learn how this should have gone down. I know what I would have wanted, where I would have liked it to go and am here to learn from the pros. I was in the key making section of the hardware store, awaiting the clerk to return and make keys for me. He mentioned that he'd be right back to help with that. I waited..... she popped around the corner and my peripheral caught a glimpse of her. She was gorgeous, an 7 I think. My type, frame, size, desirable. All of this ran through my head as I made eye contact with here, and without hesitation, I smiled and said "can you make keys for me?" She looked a bit puzzled at me and said, "no, I don't work here, do you?" I said no and that I was kidding with there. We then commence to converse about the whereabouts of the clerk that could helps us, I said " any minute I am going to just make them myself." She commence to explain to me why she was there and here recent experience with the store and why she was back. Mundane details as I searched for more ways to connect with her. That and I couldn't speak through the thoughts that were running through my head. Most were about the details of her anatomy, but more about the small passages I read early that day regarding PUA and the initial contact, and emotional anchors, but I couldn't find a way to connect the two with this situation. So, we stood there in silence for a few seconds, thankfully the clerk returned and she commenced to tell her side of the story and he asked if I needed keys. She said, "he was here first," before I could politely let here play through, he commenced to fill my request. We stood there watching the clerk earn this living... At a moment of uncomfortable silence, I blurted out "wait!, do you have those in Hello Kitty?" He looked back and me and said "are you serious?", I said "No" while shaking my head and smiling, not looking at her. Seconds later exclaimed " I only said that to see if it would make her smile," as he turned to look at me I said "do you think it worked?" He looked just as puzzled as she did when I said it and I was embarrassed. A few seconds later, I said "see, she's already thinking about the hello kitty" as she was touching another colorfully decorated key blank, (not hello kitty), I said "no hello kitty?, oh Tweety Bird!" I exclaimed. She said " but these are so cute." As we stood there in periods of silence, I could see here looking towards my hand, especially my ring finger, which did contain a wedding band, I am still curious if that was a deterrent to further flirting, or conversation. It was that point that the clerk had completed my order, I gathered my things and commence to leave. End of the episode. I did pass her in an isle a few seconds later and as I passed, I thought about what I should have said to capture her attention for a few more seconds, make every attempt to captivate her and set something of a foundation.. Which is why I am here. I am a very married 40 year old man. We are geographically separated and I have a "hall pass". In certain lifestyle circles that can be seen as a good thing, but I haven't found that circle yet and the on-line thing is getting a bit out of hand, or I am doing it wrong. As I have made great strides to transition from military career and life, I have found myself planted in the bay area, far beyond what I imagined and definitely a change from Southern California. I don't frequent the bars and clubs and think the day "sarging" would be the best way for me to explore those possibilities I have only read about. I am very interested in the psychological aspect of this adventure, the keys to the mind, etc.. It has worked wonders for getting me in touch with myself, and certain life changes I have had to make. But I am here to learn, experience, play and get over certain dysfunction when it comes to interacting with the opposite sex. I am very hetero, yet there is something about bay area females that remains illusive. I am interested in the aspect of those men (PUA's) that have to work from a mental perspective as their physical being isn't as flashy as our targets would desire. I am nestled in the heart of Silicon Valley, Palo Alto (Peninsula). I live and work in the area, close to Stanford. 40 year old white man, great health, exercise and eat well. I have been practicing and experimenting with this for about a year, but the methods I used before that were to simply to get them as drunk as possible and wear down their resolve. A particular method of pick up is yet to be determined, that is why I am here. My hobbies include learning to play Tenor Sax, Psychology and reading about the origins of the mind. I work for a custom satellite manufacturing company, as a quality engineer. Anything aviation or aerospace is fascinatingly exciting to me. Engineering, industry, manufacturing. I enjoyed my time in the military, ride motorcycles and working with my hands (especially on the female form). My simple, honest and humble goal here is to be desirable, charming, and attractive. I am most assured that there is no fountain of youth, so I'll have to stay in the best shape I can and allure them with my mind, thoughts, words and any techniques I learn here. I am honored to be amongst such true professionals, please consider me a student of the art, a willing participant. Thanks, |

OP you are a great writer. To critique your interaction there should not be these long pauses. You need to be bantering with these women and getting such an initial connection with them that the clerk is an ABSOLUTE afterthought. |

Absolute truth, so I have read. "The Game" is full of situations and choice encounters where the PUA really controls the conversation and is "craftily" convincing during the conversation. I am reading it as I learn through the forums and wisdom, great stuff.
