As the title says, I'm new to the game and I wish to explain you later on this post how I got interested in it and my rising interest for the Venusian arts. But I think I need to tell you a few things about my life and myself before getting to that point!
I'm 21 and I currently live in central France in a little city called Châteauroux, my hometown. Normally, I am a student, except this year which is a more complex one. I lived in several cities since I am 18 and I even lived abroad on my own for one year. I graduated in English at the university of Limoges and this september I started a Master in Toulouse to become an English teacher, but I decided to stop a few months ago. That is why I am back home until I start other studies in September and I am more than determined.
Concerning my hobbies, goals etc, it's been 8 years that I am a skateboarder, I love music (I play bass guitar but I'm no great musician) and especially hardcore/punk related genres. I practice swimming, running, and I do some fitness exercices regularly. I love partying but another challenge is to drink less than I'm used to if I want to pick girls up, and as a French, I love being well dressed and sexy, even if I don't pick anyone up! After my next Master in languages and Intercultural Management, I'd like to work in tourism. I am also thinking of going on an adventure abroad for one or two years in Australia or New-Zealand.
It's been a year and half that I am single (after a wonderful 3-year-and-a-half relationship) and I went through many difficulties in flirting or getting a girl I really like, I got rejected or friendzoned all the time and the more I failed, the more I lost confidence, self-esteem etc. My ex was my first girlfriend so I did not experience attracting and seducing girls as we stayed together for quite a long time and I was very serious with my relationship. Now that I start learning , I can clearly identify the mistakes that I have made during that period of loneliness, but I am also working on my own personality because I am a victim of my own thinking, behaviours and what is called the Mr Nice Guy syndrome. So alongside learning pick-up techniques and so on, I also work on my own personality and the book I read is definitely motivating me in changing the way I think and behave. You may know this book, it's 'No More Mr Nice Guy', written by Dr Robert Glover.
I am starting with the Mystery Method as it's the first one I got to know so if you have other books to suggest I could be interested! I am just starting the book and the other one I just mentioned about my psychology. There is a lot of inner game improvements to be made but I feel like I am getting better everyday after the kind of depression that I experienced for more than a year after my ex left me.
I hope this forum and its users will help me, and so will I! I think that I will start to read a lot before getting really involved in the discussions.
This change I want is maybe the best choice that I've made, so I have to work hard and it is going to be cool anyway, French girls are very challenging, but it's definitely worth it, so much charm, glamour and sexiness ..
