Hello guys! I am a new member here. I'm in the mid fourthies and I never had any girlfriend. I had multiple one-night but for a long time I was always in the friend zone. All this changed a bit about four years ago when I met a cute girl thirteen years younger than me. I eventually fell in love with her. We had sex for a few months even though she always said that we were just fuckfriend. Eventually, after three months she found another guy and I started a long depression. Since then, I decided to change. My brother told me to read David DeAngelo's book Double your dating and from then I bought a lot of books about seduction, self-improvement, body language, success ... I never took the time to read them all. I tried some of the tips but I was procrastinating. Instead of going in the field and try one approach, I stayed at home and read another book. I eventually made some move, made some approaches, push myself a little but I didn't progress the way I wanted. I found a very interesting and pretty young girl but she just want friendship so we stayed friend. Today, I'm very different than I was before. A lot less needy, a lot more confident ... but at the end I'm single again. My goal here is to start again this journey in the pickup artist world, meet lots of pretty and interesting women and eventually have a girlfriend. That's it! |

Looks like your brother gave you some great advice, but as you suspected you have to read, practice, and implement the techniques to advance. PUA isn't a casual endeavor. Best of luck |

What you need is ACTION, my friend. Check out the stickies in the General Questions board. Do all the missions I've posted there. Have fun! |

Reading theory is good... get out in the field though. Go online too... You should be on Tinder if you aren't already. Good way to practice openers. That's not a substitute for going out and actually being social, approaching, getting past AA and getting better. Welcome to the forum, BTW |

Welcome to the forum, BTW A few weeks ago, I tried Tinder for a couple of days but eventually, I closed my account because the five women who clicked on me were fraudster. |

I've just turned 40 so you aren't alone as far as age is concerned (and I thought I might be!). |
