Post subject:  New and Trying to Move Forwad

Hello everyone I am brand new to the forum and I just wanted to take some time and introduce myself and tell everyone a little bit about me. I recently turned 24, I am self imployed and I live in mid Missouri. When I was 15 I pretty much was forced to dropout of school as I suffered from a severe case of OCD whick had progressed to the point to where I could no longer function in that setting. However after several years of therapy and hard work I was able to overcome that problem but unfortunately once I felt I had got past it a new one had emerged which is social akwardness, anxiety and basically a inability to meet and talk to women that I do not already know and as I don't know many it makes conversations few and far inbetween. I believe this pretty much stems from the self induced seclusion I went through and really missing out on those important social formative years, but I am to the point now where I have overcome my other issues and am ready to get past this one as well and move forward in my life. So I joined this forum in hopes that possibly others that may have gone through similar problems meeting women may be able to advise and help me.
I have started reading The Game by Neil Strauss as from what I have heard it is a very well respected book in this comunity but as we all know reading/learning information and implementing it are two totally different things so I think I may seriously benefit from either some form of class or coaching but I do not know where to begin. I know there is a company that does bootcamps out there but they are quite pricey and the closest that they come to me is Chicago which is about 6 1/2 hours away from where I live. Now I don't have a problem driving the distance and going into debt to do this if it really is the best thing for me but I just was wanting to know if it would be worth it and what other options were out there.
Thank you to everyone in advance who reads this and offers any advice I know it was a bit long winded but I figured it's always best to give the most information you can to get the most help. Best regards.
