G'day mates. Stopping by to introduce myself. I'm probably older than most of you (mid 40's) and am returning to the single life after a breakup of a 14 year relationship. During those years my PUA abilities have atrophied a fair amount. I've been doing a lot of reading of various PUA material and feel like I'm learning a lot of new stuff as well as relearning a lot of old stuff. One of my main areas I've been working on is my inner game. My long term relationship was so toxic toward the end that I really feel like I had been shaken. My big breakup happened about 3 years ago. I've dated some since then including a year long relationship that ended recently when she moved away. My goal isn't really to jump back into the club lifestyle and go out sarging every night. I'm getting a little old for that sort of thing although that's mostly because I have a hard time finding a place playing music I can stand. Rather, I want to work on my game so that I'm both ready when the opportunity presents itself and can take an active roll in creating those opportunities. I've done a fair amount of dating in my past, but these days I'm hoping to find something a little more long term. I've got a couple of strong possible relationships in the works right now but each has some challenges that I'm hoping to get some advice on from the PUA community. I'll start start separate threads for those. Looking forward to getting involved with the group! |
