Hi im Matt im 27 and live in Southampton, England I have decided to sign up to this forum as I know I need to get this part of my live sorted. I believe I lack alot of self confidence due to having Cerebal Palsey in my right arm and having poor social skills due to anxiety, Im currently trying to overcome this by reading a book on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the moment. Seeing what Sean Stephenson has done makes me know that I can do this I just need to gain thoughs skills to do the job aswell as getting some fashion sense lol. At the moment though I feel a bit lost so in your opinion if you could create a starter pack for any new newbie on this site what items would it have in and what should I be looking at 1st? Hope to get to know you more soon, Many Thanks Matt PS: I already tryed to send a private message to a member regarding day and night game in my area and it wont allow it because im new and due to spam, when can I use this this feature? |

Hi Matt i am Dennis from London England. i am new to this fourm as well. After reading your post i felt like replying because i think i understand your situation. I have an eye condition called Nystagmus (involuntary movement of eyes) and i use to have a lot of social anxiety because of it. I read a few self help books to help me overcome this social anxiety but it didnt help me. Long story short i decded to get rid of all self help books and take action..and it worked. When it comes to Pickup, in my opnion the best way to tackle it is to take action and jump in the deep end. Whatever your objectives are (relationship, sleeping with girls, improving your life etc) you should start appraoching. I personaly preffer day game like malls, resturants, coffee/book shops and the streets. Even with my eye condtion do manage to get nubmers and dates though i must say i am new to this and still learning this stuff. But my point being that it does not matter what you look like only thing that matters is how you feel about it, if you feel nervious and unconfortable in your own skin it will come accross and they will feel it too. Next time you see a hottie walking past you, stop her and give her a compliemnt and walk away. It will boost your confidence and make her feel good. Its a win for everyone. |

Quote: Books that I would recommend:
I said it in another thread, and thought I'd quote it here.
How to Win Friends & Influence People - Dale Carnegie; basically about how to build a better connection with people in general. One of the best self-development books of all time. It's very old, but the principles still apply today. How to Be A 3% Man - Corey Wayne; he's more about the whole process, rather than just the initial interaction - I'd class this as an essential. Google: Corey Wayne Scribd (the free eBook is on a website called Scribd, or you can get it in the members section of his website for free) The Natural Art of Seduction - Richard "Gambler" La Ruina; I'm only half way through, but it's definitely a good read. Gives a few useful tips. Other people would suggest The Game - Neil Strauss. I've listened to the audiobook, and while it's good as an introduction to the community etc, I don't think there's much to learn from it. Maybe The Mystery Method, too, but I've never read it - Mystery doesn't gel with me. YouTube these people: Adam Lyons, Jason Capital, Corey Wayne, Richard La Ruina, Goodlookingloser, SimplePickup (they'll show you things like picking up girls with a fat suit, or food on your face - nice little confidence booster, but they're starting to upload pointless shit now), RSD Julien (he has a lot of hate recently, but he is REALLY good at what he does, he can just be a bit over the top, and a bit of a dick), RSD Tyler. Don't fully dedicate yourself to the teachings of RSD though - they're freaky, like a fuckin' cult. From all of that, just figure out what works the best for you. The best way to learn is to go out and get experience, no matter how many times you fail; repetition is the mother of skill. Keep trying until your success rate increases. Try to never view it as "You're either good, or you're not. When I finish learning this, I'll be good" - you're never finished learning. You can always improve. Another thing: Never put a woman ahead of your mission, goals, vision and ambition in life. Always work to better yourself, but do it for you, not for girls. Girls WILL find that sexy, but don't do it for that reason. Put your vision first, and women second, maybe even third! Oh and finally... don't take anything on this forum as factual. You'll see good posts from people like Chief, Heywood Jablowme, Ocean (or something) and a few others... and the advice is good... but that doesn't mean it'll always work in your situation. |

Hi Matt.. Welcome bro I can only give u some tips abt pickup exclusively wich i found useful..Hope u find it useful too. If u haven't read any theory/literature about pickup i suggest u go thru these books: 1. Models by Mark Manson 2. The Game by Neil Strauss (known as the bible of pickup, though its more of a novel and less of "how to guide") 3. Real Social Dynamics videos on youtube This is by far the most useful if u want short term advice n cant read long books Besides, as some one said, best thng is to start doing it. My personal recommendation is read a particular topic e.g approach anxiety (as u r new) n apply it..then come back to these for advice, apply it n so on.. (dont do all theory one time n practical 2nd time it wont do any gud) Best of Luck (Y) |
